Brake booster install
It looks like brake booster needs to be replaced or rebuilt because it is leaking. Is it a big deal to change out or is it a repair shop deal? I have never done anything other than replacing the rotors and pads and this is definitely a safety situation so is this a job that the shop should do?

Re: Brake booster install
Easy. I pulled mine and a couple others when pulling valve covers. Worst part is the brake bleeding afterwords and even that is not hard.

Re: Brake booster install
x2 .. Not hard at all.. set aside a saturday , grab a 6 pack.. Remove the driverside seat so you can get under neath that dash with ease.(Im able to do it with seat in, but it makes it easier lol) to get the brake linkage undone and bolts to the booster off. Another tip , something i do because i dont want to get brake fluid everywhere when bleeding the booster is cut a water bottle in half and use it to catch the fluid along with rags or a towel stuffed down there. Or a vaccum line can fit over the bleeder but i like to visually see the fluid coming out.
When bleeding, I like to start with the booster, End with the booster. so; Booster, rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver, booster. A mighty vac might be easier to help suck the air out,. It also might be a good time to do valve cover gaskets or just painted valve covers since your boosters out haha. goodluck!
