Cobra Cams on Exhaust Side?

This seems like an idea. You only gain a few degrees compared to the factory exhaust cams but if you understand the concepts involved to get them times correctly, it might be fun and worthy of doing. Would it be best to have new notches machine into the end of the cams or can it be done with aftermarket adjustable cam gears?
