Bypass upgrade
Ok time to upgrade my bypass valve want to get a closed vortech mondo or procharger closed red race valve. Will be vented to atmosphere. Anyone have experience with either?

Re: Bypass upgrade
I now own both versions of the BRRV. They are both loud and obnoxious in their own way. I think with that much air flow there's no way around it.
My recirculating version has a high pitched howling type noise BUT you can put a heater hose on it and route it toward the driver side fender so it isn't quite as loud and doesn't act like a street sweeper (its pointed at the ground and looks like the Tasmanian dirt devil). There is no good way to truly recirculate this valve. I couldn't find a hose that would both fit the valve and be able to be bent around without badly kinking and youd have to put a HUGE port on the inlet pipe as well. The open valve noise isn't quite as obnoxious to me (until you get next to a cement divider or something and then it's pretty awful). In the stock location you again are going to be blowing dust/dirt around everywhere.

Re: Bypass upgrade
the vented one is way to annoying and sound like there's something wrong with the car!, I always ran a closed loop one with my centri cars.
It all comes down to preference and practicality.
