Finally got my suspension done!

Well I finally have something to talk about, got a bunch done on my car in the past few weeks. I have had it since November, & have been super excited to get a few things done finally.

I have been collecting the suspension pieces over the past few months. My goal was getting rid of the dreaded 4x4 stance, but have the car handle well & be fun to drive. The things I ended up using were:
Steeda Sport Springs
Steeda X2 ball joints (without the spacers)
Steeda bump-steer kit
Energy Suspension isolators, used top & bottom isolators everywhere
Prothane rack bushings
Steeda sway bars front & rear
Energy Suspension sway bar end links
Steeda adj upper rear control arms
Steeda adj lower rear control arms
Maximum Motorsports CC plates
Tokico Illumina struts & shocks

Me & my dad got everything installed over a few weekends of spare time, & I finally got it aligned this morning. I can't believe the improvement it made in the car! It handles like a dream, feels great.

I also liked being able to adjust the rear ride height with the lower control arms. I wanted a slight rake, didn't want it level, & it was nice to be able to tweak it.

The before measurements from the ground to fender well was 27 3/4" all around before. After, I ended up with 26 3/8" front, & 27" rear. Looks so much better to me!

Also put on a Flowmaster American Thunder SS catback, & Bassani offroad x-pipe. Definitely sounds way better to me that the stock set-up!

I am so happy to have this done, feel like a kid at Christmas!! Sorry to ramble, thanks for listening! Here's some pics!

Re: Finally got my suspension done!

Thank you guys, I really appreciate it! Really makes it fun to drive, made a huge difference!

I have a couple of simple things to do today. Going to install a Steeda triax shifter, and classic hood struts.

Working around the prop rod to do the caster camber plates was kind of a pain, so I think the strut rod will be a nice improvement

Thanks again everybody

I've had a tri-ax in mine forever, excellent piece. Hood struts are also great, love my mrt ones.

Re: Finally got my suspension done!

Thank you guys

Yeah 311-420, I got the triax shifter put on, what an improvement! Feels super positive, real easy to shift, really a ton better than the stock shifter. And reverse is way easier to find too, just a ton better all around

Also got the hood struts on, & I love them! I took my time taking the nuts off, didn't want to break a hood stud. I coated the threads with anti-seize, & took it off a tiny amount, tightened it up, until they were all the way off.

Worked good, took the paint off the threads a little at a time, didn't let the nuts seize on the studs.

Strut kit was super easy to install, fit great, works perfect!

I feel like it's a new car now, improved a lot of things that kind of bothered me, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Have really had a blast driving it the past few days too
