race gas
so if i make 319/333 on a 91 octane tune, what could i make with c16 with the same mods? just curious.

i wouldnt venture to say not much more. the compression isnt there to take advantage of the race gas.

Nothing really you need more than 10:1 compression. However you may gain a little more by using 93 octane instead.

Not so fast, my friends. Some of the common leaded fuels have more energy content. The only way to see is empirically.
Why C16 - If I was doing it as an experiment, I'd start with VP110, usually the cheapest, then C12....in ascending price. You certainly don't "need" either, but try '110 and see if any tenths mysteriously drop. Data log, and watch your air/fuel ratio. Adjust to where you have been running best with 91 pump. 7-8 years ago I'd have said VP Red, but that's long discontinued.... |
