Re: Tasca ford @ new england dragway
Of course. I live in New England, don't I?
If you're planning on entering the Showdown classes, keep in mind qualifying is on Saturday, eliminations on Sunday...one day won't do it. Real Street (their True Street) is Saturday only..... |

Re: Tasca ford @ new england dragway
Yeah have to drill this weekend. Thought I was going to miss it like last year, but managed to wrangle Sunday off as I already have an extra day on the books.
So I guess I'm not running, hopefully there is something good to pick up from a vendor, unless it all gets sold on Saturday.... You going both days then?

Yessuh....
Look for two blue cars and some old folks sitting in folding chairs. Added overnight: Threat of rain in weather predictions has lifted, just "cloudy" now. Last edited by Grabber2003; 08-12-2011 at 06:44 AM. |

Re: Tasca ford @ new england dragway
Results....for the two race (i.e., heads-up) classes, anyway.
Street Shootout had 4 cars. Jeff Pulaski qualified #1 with a 10.02, beating out in the 3rd decimal a nitrous car that also ran 10.02x. Sebby Pizzo was #3 with a 10.2x and a fellow Crandall who ran 12.2x. Round 1, Jeff's opponent did not show, and he had a single. Sebby was defeated 9.95 to 10.2. However, the nitrous car was not legal to run 9s, so he was DQd. The two old friends and rivals Pulaski and Pizzo ran in the final, where Sebby spun, leaving jeff another SS win - congratulations Jeff! Stock had an even 8. Keith Kalitri, former orange Mach 1 owner, qualified #1 with an insane 11.4x in a metallic blue notch. Others were Ken Duphily at #2 (blue LX, MPE gang), Jay Pulaski (blue LX, Pulaski gang), and Rich Fink (Fink gang hanging out with the Maine gang). Round 1, Rich, Ken, Keith, Jay advanced...in Round 2, Jay then treed Keith then missed 2nd. Rich won, but had switched from DRs to ET Street bias ply and failed to rescale for the lighter (no steel!) bias plies. Cars were scaled each round (following last year's running light by some), and Rich, not meaning to run light, was DQd and his opponent awarded that round. Final: Keith outran Ken for the win. I did indeed win TS Most Consistent RT as in 2010...they should rename it "Most Consistent Sirius XM Listening" award. |

Re: Tasca ford @ new england dragway
I was there for Saturday. 5.0 Mustang Magazine did a full photo shoot on my car for a full feature. was a hell of a day! I participated in the street shootout. If anyone happened to see me my camp was behind the stands next to the vendors with my red 03 mach 1. I know i met 2 people from the registry that day.

Re: Tasca ford @ new england dragway
5.0, I was sad to no longer see you go by each day in 2011. Either you're driving something else, or, moved !
Come by someday, or we can hit Kimball's. I have 5 screwed up disks and am taking it slow this month, so I only entered True Street.... |
