Throttle body question?
How is the size of a throttle body determined by the ID or OD of the throttle body. Have an 03 mach and looking into the TB and not sure how it is measured. Also have read that the bbk TB are junk, does anyone have any to suggest. Thanks

Re: Throttle body question?
leave the stock TB on there, the aftermarket ones for us are a giant pain in the *** and the gains are minimal.

Re: Throttle body question?
the stocker is good to 400rwhp or 7000rpm. Aftermarket is absolutely not worth the minimal gain vs headache. Now if you have big cams, ported heads, headers, sully or short runner...its your call! I was around 425rwhp and solid 10.8s with the stocker and no driveability issues whatsoever! Just my .02

Re: Throttle body question?
Im hoping to make ~600 on 93 and more on E85, Im still running the stock piece and dont expect it to be an issue. The throttle body issue isnt as big of a deal with centrifugal blowers, positive displacement blowers seem to be far more effected by inlet restrictions

Re: Throttle body question?
Sorry not trying to jack a thread, but I also don't want to start a new one for one question.. but with if the OD was tapered.. would that help with any gains?
