Where does this bracket go?

Can anyone identify this bracket and where it goes??? Im putting the car back together and cant remember where this went.

If anyone could take a pic of where this is/goes that would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

See if you can find a part number on it. If you find one call your local Ford
dealer parts department and they should be able to help.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

The engine and trans were pulled. So Im thanking somewhere in the engine bay. Who ever pulled the engine/trans removed this. Was given a box of bolts and other odds and ends to put back on. This was with it.

Its the one only part that I cant figure out where it goes.

Edit to add: If its not in the engine bay, then maybe its somewhere on the trans(its auto) or in the tunnel Who ever removed it didnt bother putting it back and Im left figuring it out.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

Since it was in a box of bolts it might not even belong on your car. Seems like that happened to someone else on here in the past.

Doesn't look very important to me.

I have an automatic I'll look around mine tomorrow.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

THX. Yeah Id really appreciate it. I dont know if its suppose to be holding something important in place or not. Ive looked around several GTs and V6s in the junkyard while pulling parts and couldnt find anything.

Started thinking maybe it was a unique mach 1 part.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

Looks like maybe a throttle cable bracket, just not for your car.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

I pulled something like that off my old 04 GT. I believe it might be a bracket for installing the engine on the assembly line. On my gt, it was bolted on the drivers rear corner of the engine.

I have an auto Mach1 as well. I'm curious, I'll take a look at mine too.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

Is it a part of the bracket that holds your running horse logo in the grill?

*EDIT*
I see a bracket back near the AC condenser holding some group of wires at maybe a junction box, it looks pretty similar at least what I can see of it, on the firewall near where the hood ground attaches.

Re: Where does this bracket go?

I know the one youre talking about. Its in the corner by the A/C drier. Its not that one. I have it on the car already.
