Finally got'em W.V. Magnum 500's

Hey All

I finally got my Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500's.
17x8 Fronts with 245/45 Eagle F1 GS-D3.
17x9.5 Rears with 275/40 F1's.

I went with 17's because I didn't want to change the ride too much. If I had went with 18's I would have had to use a 275/35 in the rear. The Eagle F1's are so much better than the stock wheels, what used to spin the stocker's doesn't even make a squeak with the F1's.

The Wheels took 6 1/2 weeks to get (they build them when you order) but fit and finish are first rate. The car now getís ALOT more attention from admirers and challengers alike.

I only have 1000 miles on the car and have done no performance mods yet and since I need to recover from the beating my wallet has taken, it may be a while before I do anything put fill her up.

Later
Lou

Most excellent! I'm not one to mod my car, but that one hits it out of the park!

OUTTA SITE!

That's the look I want for my DSG Mach. I've been fretting over which wheel to consider and the others take away the "flavor" of the Mach...those enhance it.

Poi-fect!

WOW! Those are one of the best tire and wheel combos I've seen yet. What backspacing did you go with for the front and back? Also, is there any chance of rubbing in the front or rear if you lower the car? Thanks for the information.

Lou, looks great. I wish I had gone with the ones with the black insert.

On a different note, I noticed you were from Kennesaw. Kinda a small world but I went all the way there from TX to buy a calypso green '92 coupe back in March.

Well...money talk in most social situations is considered inappropriate...but these are mods we're talking about here...

What did they cost you?

Richard Seward: Thanks, I searched hi and low but I kept coming back to Magnum's...

Indy Mach: Thank you IM, There is plenty of room in the rear; the fronts are the same size as the stock wheels. I can't remember the back space and offset right now but I will post it as soon as I can...

Jim P: Thanks, been here for 6 years. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. That's a pretty long drive for a 92' coupe...

L.B.: 1600 for the wheels. (The price you pay for custom wheels) 750 for the tires...

Lou

wow... it is amazing how much those wheels change the look of the car. i've always thought that the stock wheels were too flat faced. the deep dish look of the custom wheels sure do give off an aggresive look. i'd say well worth the money.

Those look great!! I think that the chrome and offset really tricks out the Mach 1.

Those are a about the best looking I've seen so far.

Outstanding! Nice job Lou. By far the best wheels I've seen yet on any site so far.
I'm with Richard. The DSG is tough to buy for but those wheels are THE ones.
Think I need to get another job.

Thumbs up

Those are the wheels for this car, nice choice! Saw the CDC car in person and thought they really enhanced the car as well.

Geeez Mach_U: my wife had to put a bib on me to catch the drool and now has forbidden me to open the pics for the 100th time (but I fooled her, I copied them to Paint Shop Pro and will overlay them on my DSG).

Thanks everyone for the kind words

scottd: I figured in the price of the wheels and tires before I had even gone to the dealer. The first time I had seen the car when I went to test drive it I had no doubt about the Mag 500's...

Richard Seward: That's too funny Richard; if you need some different pics of the wheels (close-ups, straight shots of front and back) so that it would be easier to Photoshop just let me know...

I will have the high rez shots up by this weekend (Just finished moving and I only have dial-up right now). I will post when they are up!

Thanks again

Lou
