I think I'm the oldest in the bunch, but look where I have come!!, started likeing fords all my life. Only had one non Ford in my life, it was the enemy!!! a 1961 corvette which I only kept for 6 months. I drag raced from 1959 to 1973 this was the best time for me in my town we had severial record holders. I met Dyno Don my personal hero and all the rest of the greats, a few months ago I met with Bruce Larson and he informed me that Dyno Don is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, what a great racer and engine builder. The 60's were great but I can't wait for spring and the strips to open. PS the 2004 Mach 1 is sitting waiting for spring!!! |

How old are the mach1 drivers
Hi guys, I'm not the oldest on this thread but I'm up there. I'll be 61 on 2-14-04. I've had a few muscle cars: '62 409 biscane, '62 406 fairlane 500,'65 tri-power GTO, '67 442 Olds,'68 plymouth GTX 440,'81 trans am, '90mustang 5.0 5 speed notchback, '01mustang GT, and the best ride of them all '04 azure blue Mach1. This car has it all over the others in terms of ride power and sex appeal. My wife drives an '02 x type Jag. so we have the mature image car. When we want to go out and just have pure driving fun, we take out the Mac. this car turns more heads and gets more nods than J Jackson's boob.
