Re: 2012 Boss 302

My dealer said the Ordering Codes and Pricing hasn't been released yet (I have been bugging themthe last few days)

I am guessing around the $39K mark for the base BOSS, then add the options to that, and probalby $5K more for the Laguna....then add teh dealer markup.

Thanks Detroitmach, great pictures! It really does not matter what they are going to cost, I won't be able to buy one. Still love the car.

I've got a slightly newer version but I think it would be cheaper to own and operate the new Ford Boss instead.

Heck, I'd take a 1970 model anyday plus you could get a "Cougar" with the Boss 302 then also. Man how cool would that be, a 40 year-old "Cougar" powered by a Boss 302.

Hey, a 40-year old Cougar is fine with two legs or four wheels.

I've seen a handful of Boss 302 powered Mercury Cougars, but if I'm gonna dream then I want one of the Boss 429 Cougars...either of them, I'm really not that picky.

I was going to say if you had one and I had one nobody else could own one and we'd have them all.

I'm not greedy enough to want both of them, and you're a nice enough guy that I would be happy to see you have the other....maybe then I would have a good reason to make it Carlisle!

AHHHH...... Mad Dog 20-20....now that was some good sh*t to get fu*ked up on back in the day! I puked a few times after to much MD 20-20. Seems like every time I broke up with a girlfriend it was always there ready to comfort me!

Thanks Dave, really enjoying the car. Hopefully the yellow Mach will show up at Carlisle next year with a new happy owner to care for it.
I plan to be there.

Information on 2012 Boss 302 Dealer Allocation

Take a look at this thread on The Mustang Source forums regarding the dealer allocation strategy for the Boss 302.

That sucks. I'm guessing this means that production numbers will be low. Which means those dealers that do get 1 (or maybe 2) will have ADM's up the wazoo. Which means on average these cars will command Shelby-level pricing. Which means I won't be getting one.

WTF Ford? Just build as many as you can sell. Why limit profitability? Almost makes me wonder if they're actually gonna lose money on every unit produced. Sort of like a big Ford advertisement on wheels.

[Sigh] Guess it's back to planning what options I want on my 5.0 GT.
