Figuring since all food is taken care of for the BBQ, I saw this and figured who wouldn't like to have it so I bought it for the raffle.

Hey! I think I just saw Jimmy Hoffa talking to Richard Nixon over near that blast furnace over by that giant mound of coal. Man, is it hot down here.

Tony, the Downtown Carlisle Cruise was a Awesome event last year. I don't remember any other '03-'04 mach1's there but I could be wrong. Scott Hoag was there with his car and the Shelby reps were there with the GT 350. I think they limit it to 500 cars. It is another great part of the Carlisle All Ford Nat's....unless you want to spend the time at the hotel hanging out around a pool ........sorry Bill I couldn't resist!

P.S. How's our young Focus troop doing? You got him in a Mustang yet?

Can't believe that after 9 years away, I'm all registered for the showfield and have my hotel reservations all made. Now, I just need to remember to pack the umbrella, rain slicker, hip waders, and a little dab of sunscreen!

... and T-Shirts, shorts, sweater, long pants, and a jacket. I use to say you could see three of the four seasons in a weekend, however after having icy hail come down on us at the BBQ a few years ago I've had to up it to all four seasons.

Thumbs up Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?

Hey, I just got this e-mail today. If you plan on staying at our normal Carlisle Mach 1 Registery motel you may want to give this a shot. I did this last year and got a nice discount over the normal price we were offered. I've already reserved my room and got a military discount (one last time). If you know you're going and you know you're staying at the Homewood Suites this would be a great deal.

Hey Bill I received the same email and when I tried choosing the hotel Mechanicsburg Pa. Homewood Suites it says it's not available. Looks like I'll have to wait for the M1R discount. Any info on when the discount can be used when making reservations?

Dang, sorry to hear that, Bob. I was hoping some guys could save some money on the billeting. Last year I pre-payed when I made my reservations early and I received a little more of a discount than the regular M1R code. Seems like it was about $10 or so cheaper. If you go on line to do it, try the different rates and maybe something will save folks a little money hopefully.

Remember to register with Carlisle Events and put Mach 1 Registry as the club so we can get the tent for free.

Once they've made contact we normally reserve a block of rooms and get a special rate. In the past, occasionally, I've been able to get a better rate using my AARP or Government rate. The hotel may be a little higher priced than a Motel 6 type place but they have very nice amenities and they treat us great.
Is this still the correct Hotel for the Mach 1 Registry for Carlisle??

Yes, this is where most of us stay and Dave reserve's a block of rooms. We normally get a slight discount on the rooms but depending on other factors, you may be able to work out a better deal at the same hotel using other discounts.

Thanks Bill. I tried to find a discount code for the block of rooms but didn't see one listed. Guess I'll just call. I look forward to meeting all the Mach 1 Registry members!!

Most likely, I won't be able to come until Saturday. Is there anything I can bring? My son has a 3D cake business and has made some award winning cakes in the past. I could have him make one made for the club. He can make any design and plus they taste great!! I think I saw somewhere where this is the tenth anniversary for the club ?? Just let me know.

Thanks again.,
Dean

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?

You know my situation, Bill. I would like to contribute to the doings also, provided I make it so I guess what I'm asking is this. At some point can someone post a list of necessary or nice-to-have items other attendees might volunteer to bring? I'm sure there will be a need for a slush fund for a few six packs (few?) and the like, which will be last minute decisions. I guess too that a head count at some later date will help determine just how much stuff is needed.
