44 when standing outside of the car...20 when strapped in!! There's just something about shaking that shaker while cranking some ZZ Top that makes me feel good...again.
It's my first true muscle car and is not my daily driver. Thus, each weekend is much anticipated, weather permitting, even when just making a milk run...hope the fridge is low tomorrow morning!

22 here until Jan. 16 -- tis is my first mustang and my fourth car: preceeded by a 1996 v6 firebird, 1998 v8 formula firebird, and a 1999 v6 firebird. I never liked mustangs, or even fords for that matter, until I drove the Mach. I think everbody should have one of these cars -- all it takes is some hard work and a love for real American muscle cars!!!:p

F-body Guys & Girls
I don't know if it is as much a "conversion" to a Ford Mustang or an addiction to fast agressive looking cars! A "need for speed" so to speak!
The F-bodies were fine cars and a load of fun. I'm one of the older Mach owners (52) but in the past I had a 78 Firebird Formula 350 4spd, 79 Trans Am and an 82 Trans Am. I still own my 89 Trans Am GTA with 22K miles - it is still a riot to take out and have fun with. The 89 only had 225 horse but tons of torque. I enjoy any hot car I am driving - no matter the make. I think us car people all appreciate great driving cars. So, I think GM made a big mistake and should have put their effort into revamping the F-bodies instead of producing that new GTO. I was disappointed when I saw it - however - there are a reported 350 horses under the hood!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Holidays car lovers!!!

I'm 39 and my husband is 41. Betwixt the two of us we've owned a lot of cars but nothing compares to the Mach 1. It just feels so right.

Yeah yeah, we all know there's a lot of f body owners (or previously so) on here with Machs, but we don't have any room for the likes of you. You should all leave now.
Okay, I'm just kidding. I enjoy all things fast and the people who enjoy them too. Mach1Registry, bringing people together with one common bond--the Mach 1. |

Well, looks like I'm the oldest of the young-at-heart.I'm 64 and have owned many Stangs (oh how I miss that 65 fastback I sold last year). My daily driver is a 98 GT with a lot of after market add ons and is currantly in the shop having some custom body work and paint done on it.My Mach1 is pretty much a show car only.Picked it up 1-14-03 and it now has 2100 miles on it.When my mustang buddies aren't around I some times drive my wife's Z4 just for the fun of it.But she gets mad at me sometimes when we're going somewhere and I tell her I'd rather go in my 98 GT than her car.You know how some cars just make you feel like you belong in them? How everything is just in the right place and you and the car feel like one?Maybe it's just that we old timers need that feel. But I've driven a lot of cars that I didn't feel that way in.But in my Stangs, I do.Darn, how the he** did I get on all that just to give my age.Oh,now I remember, when you get 64 you tend to ramble a lot.

well, well, well, Mustanger: someone finally beats my age! Good to see another AARP Motor Head. I'm gonna be 60 in a couple of weeks and I don't even think about growing old with the Mach.

I remember the days when I was one of those punk kids driving an old '70 Cougar pulling up to the guys with the new shiny hot-rod. Playing with them just to see them burn some rubber. Knew I would get beat. But hey. Now I'm that guy with the shiny new hot-rod.
