Re: New Project "R" thread
Birdman, fantastic job. I love your car. I would really like to have seen a 00 Cobra wing on the back. It would really top off a great looking/performing car. I understand why you didn't put one on, but with the quality of work you put into it, I think it deserves one and don't think any 00 Cobra owner would disagree.

Re: New Project "R" thread
it has been a couple years since Birdman has posted here, but I would swear I saw a pic of "Project R" at a car show posted somewhere. I think he got everything worked out at the DMV; it had to be registered like a "kit car" without a manufacturer's VIN or something like that. He's probably put something else together by now.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Yes, he finally got it registered in the state of Fla. Took a couple of years and he finally got his congressman involved to make it happened. I introduced him to Donald Farr (Mustang Monthly Editor at the time) at a Silver Springs NPD show a few years back and it was in an issue of the magazine.
It was a fantastic project and he basically "blueprinted" a 2001 Cobra R and everything worked perfect. Part of the problem was in getting it registered the state of Florida didn't know what to call it. It is resisted as a 2011 Mustang Cobra. Truly a 1 of none built (LOL). http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...ght=birdman941

Re: New Project "R" thread
Car has been legal for quite some time.
I finally got tired of the FDOT BS and got my local state representative involved. She TOLD THEM that they had to follow the law just as I did. Car was legal 2 days later and passed with flying colors. Another project, I actually did an upgrade on a Black 2001 GT Auto. Working on that for 2 years, and it has a fresh 5.4L 32V in it. Completely stock. Basically rebuilt the car top to bottom. New darn near everything from ac to motor to brakes, etc. Cheers

Re: New Project "R" thread
Car looks the same, except the LMR FR500 steering wheel now.
I had an email issue for 6 months and could not post, answer or anything. Built yet another 5.4 32V car, a 2001 GT Auto. Black w/gray interior Pretty much rebuilt the whole car

Re: New Project "R" thread
Potato bucket won't show the pics unless I pay them.
Not going to happen. I downloaded and saved all the pics, and will try and post the pics as file attachments if anyone is interested. Going to take a while though.

Potatobucket corrupted all the videos.
I did find more pics and might post them as attachments when I have time.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Pretty much done editing, I did find some pics that weren't posted,
may attach them here as time permits. They will be sort of random though.
