That's odd. I thought it was going to be a pretty bad game until the third quarter!

Looks like it's between us and ole' Nicky Satan next. He's gonna get his wish, I just hope he is prepared for what awaits him and the Crimson Brides. Obviously Satan's memory is the second shortest thing he's got. He doesn't recall the passion and intensity of football in Bayou Country. He doesn't remember that New Orleans is pretty much in our back yard. He doesn't remember that won a championship here with us, and then betrayed us like the rat he is, and that we don't forgive or forget. He also doesn't seem to remember that only a few short weeks ago we shut him down on his own turf.

I think it stinks that Bama sits at home, on their a$$, while everyone else has to play their way in the the Championship game.
If you did'nt play last weekend, you should not even be considered for the National Championship.
OK State won its way to play LSU for the N.Champ.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

You won't get any arguement from me, and the difference in the voting from lat weekend to this past weekend shows a lot of people felt the same way, just not enough to bounce OS over 'Bama.

It's a shame that the Bowl Committee members punished the Penn State players for the sins of an Ex-Coach.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

I think LSU vs OSU would have been a better title game. I've already seen LSU and the tide play this year and didn't see a single TD.

On a side note, I don't think they'll let the Alamo Bowl have the Heisman Trophy winner (as in Robert Griffin III) but I'm prejudiced. I think Andrew Luck will get it as he was runner-up last year.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

I'm surprised Tyrann Mathieu was chosen as a finalist. Not that he isn't an absolute workhorse and playmaker for the team, but his one game suspension earlier this year seemed to quiet all of the Heisman talk about him. I'd love to see him get it, that would certainly be icing on an amazing season for the Tigers.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

OK, 2011 was bad enough if you are(were) a Florida Gators fan. But holy carppin', crappin', CRAP!!!!!(man, it's hard not to use obscenities), now word is Muschamp wants to hire Mike Shula to replace Charlie Wies.

I am beginning to think that Muschamp is so pissed about the time he and his parents came to Gainesville and sat outside Steve Spurrier's office and he wouldn't come out and talk to them that he Muschamp has come back to Gainesville like the Manchurian Candidate to destroy the program from within.

Steve Spurrier was affectionately known to Gators fans as the Head Ball Coach, if you watch SC games you will see his headset labeled "HBC". My new nickname for Will Muschamp: MBC = Manchurian Ball Coach.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

Whew! I'm absolutely worn out......Baylor is ahead of Washington 60 - 56 and there's still 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter in the Valero Alamo Bowl Game. Over 1200 yards of total offense. I don't care who wins anymore. Go Bears! Nice game for the Heisman Trophy Winner - Robert Griffin III. It would be nice if Baylor won.

I don't think there can be much of a debate after this game. This one has been completely dominated by 'bama.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

What a horrible way to end such an impressive season. Bama certianly out played, outcoached and out scored us in every way possible. Jefferson looked lost and scared from the outset and never settled into any sort of understandable game plan. The blame can only be placed on the QB and the coaches, and the QBs have played their last in the purple and gold. Miles has a lot to answer for, and his decision not to play Lee at any point will be questioned for a long time.
Congrats to Bama and their fans. A well deserved championship.

Guess it's time to bump this back up. Just can't wait till ARK/BAMA/LSU gets ahold of USC.

Re: College Football back in full swing!

The Boise State/Mic. State game was worth watching, btu the Alabama /Mich. game tonight is the one I'm looking forward to seeing tonight. Should set quite the tone for the rest of the season. Wish we were playing a toughter start of the season, cake walk for the first few games.

No need to make it any harder than it already is. Whoever wins the sec will be in NCG.

We won the SEC last year, and were in the game (more or less...we made the trip). Didn't help any.

Rough start for my Nittany Lions. They looked good in the first half but faded. Big learning curve.
