I prolly woulda done the same thing. Except, I'd have hit my brakes lightly, let them see my sequential taillights....then see what they did. I cannot stand tailgaters, and try to do my best at keeping a safe distance. I'm gonna try the downshifting next time. HOPEFULLY not ruin my mach in the process.
