That 8 rib setup was so good that it made me switch to cog... (notice the extreme sarcasm ).....

You have a built bottom end? Anything higher than 450 and you are playing with a time bomb.

I hope with this I can get 600 rwhp on race gas. I am not going skinnies and slicks I am going with a Hoosier 335/35r17 drag radials. I love the solid whites!!!! I am going to drive the car 100-200 miles a week during pretty weather

Re: Procharger install

the 8 rib kit is a royal pain in the ***, I had a shop doing mine and it took them weeks to get it right (most of that time spent on the phone chasing GI Joe's sorry *** who will NOT answer the phone) and calling procharger.

I wish i had some calipers to measure out what we ended up using. Maybe next time the head unit has to come off

Re: Procharger install

All GI Joe does is use Ford 8 rib pullies. Save yourself some money and get them from Tasca. Or even hit the junk yard. I spent a few hours aligning mine. I think 600 out of a P1 is a tall order. That's a lot of air flow and a lot of heat. If you're serious about 600 step up to a D1.

I mean...don't get me wrong...I loved my procharger kit...hated the service though from ATI...sucks donkey ballz....
wrong threaded bolts, wrong brackets, stuff missing, etc. Lots of stuff I just ended up going and find or making myself....
the 8 rib kit was SOOO far off when I did mine I actually switched to a cog drive...
since then been good....

Re: Procharger install

from several things Ive read the gates Green Stripe belts are tougher but at the same time they dont grip as well...you may want to try a regular belt instead of the green HD to get every bit of a grip possible

I ran a Gates and the only issue I had was it would chirp when cold. As soon as it warmed up it was fine. But I was also running larger pullies. Maybe that blue stripe belt is worth looking into.

ran Gates also, had the chirp too, but I also was stretching them out till the thump tensioner, but then we had the alignment problem with all the pulleys, I wish I would have done a 8 rib set up from the start, would have saved a lot of problems

I had belt slip with a 3.9 on a D1 with an ATI over drive crank pulley. That was with a stock tensioner. If you're serious about your power goal you might as well accept you're going to go 8 rib at some point.

Agreed, I was running d1sc and had belt slip, we are trying to save you all the bumps down the road of getting 600rwhp

Re: Procharger install

It seems most of us his spacers did not work out like they're supposed to. Also I just had the front lip machines off my water pump pulley instead of using the spacer but I also got it done for free

I cannot tell you whether or not it is or is not. your going to see mix reviews,
just like on the Thump product, I had great luck with mine, but others have not. I think the link I gave you for the bgg was from lethal, which I'm sure if you have any problems they can fix it for you, incase you run into any
