I put the MagnaFlow cat back kit with a Jegs off road h-pipe on my gf's 97 Gt and at idle its got a nice mild tone but under WOT it sounds like an old school muscle car, very deep tone. On my mach I have LT's, o/r xpipe and MAC exhaust and its very louda and high pitched around 4200 rpm. I have Spintech 3" sportsmans and a custom 3 inch X-pipe going on soon. The MACS have a baffle that the weld musta let loose inside and rattles at times

I had magnaflow magnapack catback on my 04..........sounded great and was plenty loud. Picked up good power too plus you cant beat magnaflows quality. Im not sure what magnaflows ur using newoldschool but the magnapacks sound mean as hell..........got compliments all the time on how my exhaust sounded. Mine was mated up to a bassani catted x pipe.....stock headers.
