Re: First and Last Mach 1's made.
No way to tell as the production number was based off of the order date. As an example, my 03 was built 14 July 03 and it was 7,XXX. There is no way Ford built over 2K Mach's in the final weeks of the 03 run following my car production. You can order your cert from SVT and find out your cars number in the the model year.

Re: First and Last Mach 1's made.
"Quoted" Hi Steve!
You've missed a lot, and we've missed you. Turns out my car wasn't #16, but #13. Ford has finally got us set up to where we can get our sequential numbering. I've still got copies of the stuff you'd sent me as well as the CD-ROM of the early production photos. Mmmmm...maybe I shoudln't have said that... "quoted" Hey there blowing off the dust on this post, so I have been trying to figure this out. my 04 is 4267 off the line, but I would REALLY like to know what Color number I am from my list of Comp Oranges. im not sure what you mentioned is something im looking for with the "sequential numbering" but any help will do!

I remember when the 05 GT's first hit the lots there was a shortage because they were selling a lot of them and my wife drove one and it had a $3000 mark up so we left real quick.

Re: First and Last Mach 1's made.
A $10K dealer mark-up for an '04 was ridiculous. They were right on the fence of being too expensive at a $29K sticker. Might as well bought a Cobra and had money left over. The dealership I ordered my '03 at was gonna sell it to me at sticker, but the other one they ordered was a $5K mark-up.

I bought mine (April 03) when we thought they were only going to make 5500. I bought mine in East Texas and they told me they were getting a $5K markup in the DFW area. I quickly told them they were NOT in the DFW area. I agreed to sticker for mine thinking that only 5500 were to be made. There were three other people in the showroom waiting for me to say yes or no! And then they kept making them....and making them....till they got to 9652. And then the @#$%^ kept making them in 2004. I swore right then that I would never buy a NEW car from anyone in the future. Re: First and Last Mach 1's made.
I must have been lucky. I searched for a month in SE GA for an 03 (September of 03), other dealers that had one wanted $2K to $3K above sticker to transfer to my local dealer, found a dealer in Jax, FL (Mike Burch Ford-he was a award winner or something that sold EVERY Ford vehicle there), had EVERY color Mach and auto or stick in one section outside , then a row of Cobra's. I bought my DSG off the lot and I used X plan, got it for $26K and change.... 135K miles later, still driving the piss out of it

My Mach1 was built July 17, 2003. I forgot my production number, I have to find my sheet from Ford. Interesting info.

What would be really cool is if we knew how many of these are still on the road after 15 years in the hands of people who live to drive fast. My guess is that survivors are not as plentiful as they once were.

It's crazy how hard it is to find out what day 2003 Mach 1 production began, considering how unique this car was/is.

According to some stickers on some interior parts on my Comp; I have an early production 04. I’ll be getting a COA very soon. Question I have is being my car is an early production model; is there any way to find out what number my car is in it’s color?
