Re: Carlisle All Ford Nationals - Mach 1 Registry Meet 2009

Yeah, Look at one of the events ! Event Details

MUSTANG BEEHIVE
The greatest collection of Black & Yellow Mustangs . . .
Well now, this event just quite didn’t turn out as anticipated. The Yellow Mustang Registry really got fired up and outnumbered the Black Mustangs. However all that did was heat up the challenge for 2009. Buzz in here June 5-7, 2009 to see the latest beehive of activity. Bee here to witness the frenzy as many MORE black & yellow Mustangs fly in to make the Carlisle Fairgrounds their hive. We wonder how many members from these two very prestigious clubs will show up to make history. They will show us how get together and bring a club to the All-Ford Nationals! Perhaps one of these clubs, or YOUR’S will be in competition for the Coolest Club Hangout Award?

Okay Brian, and you're the type of guy that if you jumped out of an airplane and your parachute didn't work, you wouldn't think I've got 30 seconds to live but I've got 30 seconds to learn how to fly.

Seriously, I used to tell people that there was a good chance you'd see three of the four seasons in one June weekend in Carlisle, hot/cold, wet/dry. After that one year, I had to add the fourth, "snow".

Nah neither. I'd think I have 30 seconds to learn how to bounce instead of splat.

Carlisle it's not just a car show, it's an adventure.

Re: Carlisle All Ford Nationals - Mach 1 Registry Meet 2009

I've always wanted to go to Carlisle for an event. I think it would be an experince of a life time. Alot of my buddies go to the Mopar Events but I just don't think I would fit in there This sounds like something I would love to plan for, just not sure if its something I would be able to do or not. How far ahead would you have to book a hotel room for before you would have no choice but to sleep in your trunk

Is there any word on if the 40th anniversary for the Mach will be reconized??

Re: Carlisle All Ford Nationals - Mach 1 Registry Meet 2009

Usually book around the First of the year. (You can always cancel)

We get a Group Block of rooms at a host hotel, but you can book anywhere you like, anything close (within 5-8 miles) is probalby full, since many pre-book from the year before when they leave. But there a ton of hotels around. ALso, there is Gettysburg, Hershey to go and visit if you wanted to come in earlier in the week and make a vacation of it.

Not sure, but will check on the Mach anv. However, We had a Mach 1 Reunion 2 years ago and had 70-80 '03-04 Machs show up.

1. Jeff (Jdraper) Are You going to set up the hotel again and send me the paperwork? Thanks.

2. Haeg, you planning the BBQ again?

3. Also, We need to bring stuff for this. Since we didn't even know about it last year?

COOLEST CLUB HANGOUT AWARD Inaugural award well received . . .
The Coolest Club Hangout Award was so very well received by our participants that the award is now a regular feature during the All-Ford Nationals. There are a number of clubs preparing themselves for the 2009 show trying to unseat our 2008 champion, the Bad Mustangs Club. In order to win the award, a club must decorate their club tent in a manner that makes it “THE PLACE” to hangout for the weekend. Plan your theme and your decorations well because there are a host of clubs vying for the honor. We will be checking out the club tents Friday & early Saturday. The wining club will have their award flying, along with bragging rights at their tent the balance of the weekend. Get set up early and show your stuff! "

ie.) We can bring a solar Panel, 12V/110 Inverter and car battery to run Christmas lights, etc...We can Go GREEN...
small propane grill or something make FREE Popcorn, etc...let's get some ideas. (Mike, sorry no Pony rides..hahaha)

I will set up the hotel again. Not a problem. I'll call in later this week to set it up. Dave, how many people did we end up with last year? I'm guessing we should step it up by 10% or so again.

Hmmm...maybe we need a keggerator to draw in the crowd..full of Molson Canadian and Yuengling Lager...

All we have to do is have Frank bring some Hooters girls and we are golden.

I maybe able to get my hands on both a popcorn and hot dog machine (both movie threater size) along with a generator. I would need someone to haul them though.

I can haul 'em with the F-150. I'll have it with a trailer too.

with dogs and popcorn that would be cool
if it looks like its going to be 90F would be
an awsome thing to get one of those inflatable pools
but there is no way to get it filled up.

we all know our tent is THE PLACE to be
but i like the idea of lights and some kind of an attraction.
how much to get HUGGY BEAR ! or some other has been

The hell with being green we are at a muscle car show !
We need to do what we need to do !

Re: Carlisle All Ford Nationals - Mach 1 Registry Meet 2009

If people are willing to either donate Ford related items or money to buy some we could raffle the items and donate all proceeds to a charity. Maybe raffle one item every hour or so depending on how much is donated. I have a 1/18 scale diecast Shelby vert and some Mark Martin stuff I'll donate. If there is interest and enough other people donate I'll also donate my TR "Shake Some Action" poster which is still in the tube.
