Re: MCA's Race to Indy's Mustang Nationals!!!!

Hey there all you Mach 1 Cruisers!!!! R U ready for a Big Weekend???? Well I'm here in Indianapolis waiting for all of you and to Welcome you to O'Reilly Raceway Park outside of Indianapolis for the 2009 MCA's Race to Indy Mustang and Mach 1 Nationals starting up with registration beginning at 8:00am this coming Friday. So far at this time from Diane, I have 11 official Mach 1 entries and I know of 4 more signing up at the day of the show. Bob Coulston, Dave Quinn and I have been getting together a plan on where to park all your beautiful Mach 1's as well as the Bullitt Registry and the SSP Mustang's (Mustang Police Cars). As of right now we have over 402 total cars coming to this event and about 30 Vendors will entertain you over the weekend.

Drag racing will start around 8:00am on Friday for some of the ones whose got the Baddest Mach to strut his stuff on one of the most famous Drag Strip's in the Nation. It should end around about 11:00am. So far 48 Cars has entered for that.

About 12 noon the Autocrossing will be running thru 4:00pm with 37 cars that will attack the roadcourse track that will be setup.

Registration will end at 5:00pm on Friday for the day but Registration will start back up on Saturday Morning at 8:00am thru 11:00am Sharp!! The Hog Roast which is a huge sellout will begin around 6-6:30pm. Also at the same time, there has been some discussion at ORP, the Drag Strip track maybe having a Friday Night Madness on a makeup race from a previous raindate a couple of weekends ago open. And about 9:30 or 10:00pm the Fireworks will be display for everybody to ohhhh and ahhhh, to finish up the evening and a long day of activities.

Saturday morning Judging will begin at 11:00am and they are hoping to be done by 5:00pm. Just giving you all reminder...PLEASE have your entry forms completed for the ones who were not pre-registered before you come to the show so when we get you in line to be parked, you'll minimize the wait in line at the registration table. Also NO Car entry will be allowed to move from their parking spot PERIOD!! unless oked by the Head Judge from MCA until all cars have been judged. Also at the Drag strip, thru out the day, they will be running the Diesel Truck Nationals for some of you that love the power of Diesel!! and boy can they run FAST!! The park will close around 6:00pm for the evening so most will be going to the Host Hotel fo the MCA Dinner Banquet. . John Force's Funny Car will be on Display at the Main Lobby at the Host Hotel and we have a Special Guest Speaker from Ford Motor Company who helped engineered the 2010 Mustang will be on hand as well has some great Door Prizes for the ones who go to the Banquet.

For the ones that are not going to the Dinner Banquet, the Mach 1 Registry is going to have a Cruise-In at Hooters Resturant. Address is 7551 US Highway 31 S, Indianapolis,In 46227. So tell anybody that is not going to the banquet, to come on down for a night of fun.

On Sunday, Gates open at 8:00am. The Hot Oval laps will begin at 9:00am for the people who want to take laps around one of the most favorite short tracks the Nationwide Cars and Camping World Truck Circuit which is coming up this July. For some of you who were not here last year, this was a BIG hit!! They will be running a pack of 10 cars at a time and they will have a Pace Car there to lead all the packs to run at a reasonable speed. Don't worry about going to slow like we did at IMS years back..believe me...it will be fast enough!!! about 153 cars will take on this event, so we need everybody who is going to do this to be ready before 9:00am. this will run thru 12 noon.

The Awards will start up sometime early in the afternoon with about 300 awards to be given out on the cars that will be judged. the awards that MCI does have been pretty good in years past and this year is no exception, we have done pretty good job on selecting a good award. There will be a 50/50 drawing on both days and door prizes will be drawn on both days and we will have some special items that will have a special drawings that will be annouced at the show on how to get a chance to win one of them.

So there you have it!!! Looks like plenty to do for everybody to enjoy and we hope everybody who comes will have a great time and we look forward on meeting everybody at the 2009 MCA Race to Indy Mustang and Mach 1 Nationals

Thanks for reading and please be careful coming to the show.

Jerri "The Dr." Moss

Re: MCA's Race to Indy's Mustang Nationals!!!!

Greg!!! it was great to meet you, Connie, and Frank here in Indy. We had a blast!!! I wish we could have spent more time with you all but the show has to go on. I thought the show was pretty good. I have been told we had 515 total entries but I still think that didn't include all the Mach's, Bullitt's and the SSP cars, however I will get the official talley this Thursday. There was alot more Mach 1's there than expected just some wanted to be with their groups they came with. I'm really happy that most of you got trophies in your classes and everybody really did work very hard on their Mach's for the show!! Thumbs up to everybody!!! If I had to judge all the Mach's.. it would have been very difficult to pick a winner. so the way i look at it.... YOUR ALL WINNERS in my book!!!

So we'll have to make plans for another get together so I can just sit back and relax and have some fun with you all.

Next one: June 20th Falls City Mustang Show in Jeffersonville,In. Location at 10th & Meigs Ave. at Quartermaster Station. Reg. is from 8-12 and judging starts at 12:30pm. $20.00 Reg. Fee. 20 classes and 80 Trophies to be awarded.

Greg & Connie, you'll have to come over some weekend before summer is over and check out "The Suds" Cruise-In. It is a pretty kewl place.. And Connie once again "HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY!!!! LMAO!!

Frank Buddy!!!!! Your a HOOT!!! You sure do know how to get them Hooter Girls going!!!.. ahh... next time...... tie your camera to your wrist!!!!! LMAO!!

Tony!!!! sorry I didn't get to meet you!!! both of us had to be 2 buzy!!! LOL
your Bullitt Boys sure do stick together... I believe about 50 of them were there!! Great JOB!!! Sorry about the mix up on Friday morning at the Registration table.. MCA had things a little mixed up and the people who lined up the rows of 3 lanes didn't do what they were suppose to do. The 3rd line was suppose to be for Bullitts,Mach's, and SSP cars only as I was doing the check in, however they had you all in all 3 lines and some of them didn't know what a Bullitt was.. and with the Autocross having taken your spots, I had to put you somewhere on Friday but all you guys did a great job on where to be on Saturday.. so I thank you!! If MCA wouldn't have had a issue on parking, I would have tried to move you all closer to everybody else so there wouldn't have been a gap between the Bullitt's,Mach's and SSP's, but it was the best I could do considering MCA wanted to put you in the line in the way you came in and by doing that, most of you wouldn't have been together and that would have ruin your guys event. So please, I hope it was ok..

I met some other Mach 1 owners from other States as well.. Jayme was from New York and he has a Zinc Yellow Mach so he was definitly a pretty Kewl guy!! Luv the great accent!!! Thanks for coming over to my hood!!! LOL...I hope your trip was worth it!! also congrat on your award. The Roger family form Culver,In. Very Nice couple!!!! Great to see them back as well as my ole Azure Blue Mach buddy.. Steve from the Falls City Mustang Gang. Friday Night he was giving me a hard time while I was trying to enjoy my Hog Roast on my Judging at last years show.. it was all good and alot of laughs but I did learn a couple of things that he pointed out to me that I thought was wrong on his car...on the 03/04 Mach's, the lock cylinders are different.. Black on 03's and chrome on 04's and one thing that I do have to check on is on the passenger side coil cover, some have the 32 Valve nameplate on them and some didn't. What was so weird, mine and Steve's both didn't have one but I looked at another one late today and seen one on a friend of mine. Could have been a late Friday or early Monday morning built car.. LOL but anyway I was wrong but you still won last year!! I'll buy ya a beer in 2 weeks when I'm down there!!! LOL

Angela!!! what can I say Babe!!!! Glad to see ya again!!! congrats on your award as well.. and you were so worried to be in Modified.. I knew you could do it!!!. At least you got to hang out with us at Hooter's...still should have put on the shirt and shorts from Hooters.. you would have fit right on in!!!

Frank from Columbus,In.. great to see you as well again !!! Keep'er clean.. Nice Torch Red Mach you have!!!

Mike, from Greenfield,In.. great chatting with ya!!!! see ya at the next meeting!!

Man, with all these nice Mach's you guys brought.. Ole Hollywood Mach probably would have not gotten a trophy .... man, I'm glad I was just only in Display!!!! It was great finally got her back together after a 3 week overhauling... Gene fixed me up with those nice headrest's. Got my right frt wheel redone, Kenny Brown got me a new windshield banner since the other was falling apart. got her all clay bar, buffed and waxed and sealed up for another great Car Show season.

Well I know I have said enough so once again..... Thanks to everybody who did come down and I hoped everybody had a great time!!!

Peace out!!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I wish we had crossed paths!! Things turned out just fine, despite some of the glitches. And indeed, the IMBOC people do hang together pretty closely, just like our Registry folks here. I was surprised at how many Bullitt owners made it, as about 3 weeks ago, only about half the number was registered!

All in all, great weather and lots of fun in Indy - loved it!

CONGRATS!!
