Re: 45th Mustang Anniversary

We got back around 5-5:30 yesterday and were greeted by our granddaughter, who had to go through every goodie bag we had! LOL! My wife had bought her a couple of Mustang t-shirts and I gave her the little diecast car from the welcome package, and she was in heaven (she's a Mustang fan also!).

I had a great time in Birmingham, meeting, greeting, eating, and driving with everyone was fun. Driving down and back in the rain, not so much. My sunburn is starting to itch and peel, but it was worth it! Thanks to Dave, John, Scott Hoag, John Clor, and all the other folks who made this event something to remember!

The sun is shining overhead, so I'm out to the driveway to clean 850 miles of crud and crap off my car, because somewhere under all that gray-brown muck is a bright Torch Red Mach 1!

ditto...leave it to the FL girl who knows better than to go anywhere w/o sunscreen...but forgots to pack it.

We hit the show first thing Sunday morning, left around 9:15 since no one else was there yet (well 2 other Machs). Got home around 9:30 Sunday night. Minor drama on the drive back when a little import passed us as they were losing a tread...never good when you hear that flap flap flap noise...sure enough, it came apart in nothing flat and that little car shot across the road right in front of us dragging the front bumper underneath...that was when Nathan noticed one of their bumper bolts on the hood of the truck LOL.

Catastrophe averted...continued on home w/o incident. Didn't even hit any rain!

Thanks for the good time! Hope everyone makes it to the 50th!

Re: 45th Mustang Anniversary

We arrived home late yesterday totally exhausted and totally excited about all the M1R folks we hung around with, and with the whole week. It was awesome, it was special, and it was over way too soon... Sorry that I wasn't able to meet some of the M1R folks that were there, but for those who I did meet, thanks for making the week memoriable. I won't single any one out for fear of forgetting someone, but you all make us feel right at home.
Mustang people are the coolest in the world, and M1R folks totally rock!!

BTW, our club in Asheville NC will be hosting one of the MCA Nationals at the Biltmore Estate September 2010 so make plans to come up and join us!!

Glad y'all are ok. You need to find that "wreck magnet" thats hidden in your car!

Good to hang out with you and the missus, we had a great time.
