Ran into a good deal on a brand new NOS complete refill station, including a large full mother bottle for $475.

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
Been out of the loop for awhile.
Flow checked my .046-.062-.070-.078-(maybe .136?) fuel jets and will be doing some dyno time soon. I Installed a permanet accurat liquid flow gauge graduated in 0.2 tenths right at the "IN" port of the fuel solenoid. Using my old craftsman Electric trigger switch, and a small external battery, I can control operating the solenoids very easy. The solenoids I have draw (N2O) 33 amps & (Fuel 20) amps. Solenoids are not designed to be energized for a long period of time. NX advises no more then 20 secs. I probably was holding them open for 5-10 secs max insuring the set 6 psi does not fluxuate. Once I had exactly 6 psi flowing for each jet at my flow gauge, I would record the dead heading (static) psi on flow gauge and record the fuel regulator gauge in trunk at static. I did this several times for each jet to insure repeatabilty, which turned out to be very good! Now I know what static psi to set trunk regulator gauge and what static psi the flow gauge should read, based on which fuel jet I plan to use. Periodically, I will always flow check, especially on the bigger shots. Brakes will be checked out by CRT Performance, having some issues with them, I think my manual master cylinder needs to be rebuilt or replaced! The brake pedal has to be pulled up with my foot to prevent the brakes from dragging. The brakes are also very hard at times, then soft at times. Until this brake issue is resolved, I will not be at the track.

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
Thanks Craig!!! Damm!!, Glad your buddy got out of that situation OK..
I'm being very cautious shaking down the Mach for any problems I come across. I have a Strange master cylinder and Jeff Chambers will be checking it out for me soon. I'll pass on the info you posted! The brakes were working fine at the shop/dyno and for the first couple of weeks I had it back home on the street, putting on some good 30+ mile drives!!?? Always something!!

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
Fortunately never really "NEEDED" to deploy mine but have pulled it to see what happens. I was scared to death at first, 3850 pounds at 155 mph schit can get ugly! I actually had to look out the window to see if it even came out, you really don't fell em if you pick the right one out to begin with. Either that or it just aint gonna help all that weight, who knows. Not too mention the badazz feeling ya get while cruizin with it on the street!

Fabricated a FAST aluminum bracket that I fit to a RAM motorcycle GPS mount. I can loosen the tightening knob and reposition the meter back inside the glove box.

Finally installed the in cab fire extinguisher with roll bar mount with a quick release pull pin. I have the engine bay dual nozzle with 5 lb AFFF fire suppression system, now a 2.5 lb hand held in cab. What can I say, I use to be a firefighter for 16 yrs....

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
Still shaking down the Mach. Now I ran into a fuel pump problem causing my fuel psi to drop when the pump heats up. The rpm's start to osilate like it's struggling and now I can never keep 7psi after setting regulator. The pump gets hotter then hell, not good. Engine started running like crap. Checked everything from proper voltage, clogged fuel filter, cleaned/purged the entire fuel system out, tried different gauges and same results. Found that all spark plug center electrodes were all eaten away from this lean condition. I'm very glad I did not try a shot of nitrous on the street.
This just started happening a week ago noticing my A/F at idle was way to lean. I am replacing the Aeromotive pump with a MagnaFuel Quicksilver 275 pump with -8AN external bypass fitting on the "OUT" side of the pump. I will route this to my fuel tank that has an additional -8AN port. I also installed a liquid filled mechanical fuel gauge with a fabricated bracket I made at home. The gauge will be underneath the hood cowl.

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
Received the MagnaFuel Quick Star 275 Fuel Pump. Much larger and heavier then the Aeromotive SS series pump. These pumps can run continuously for up to 1.5 hrs for limited street driving. The Aeromotive claims can use on daily driver, but I don't believe it. Just the small amount of driving I did on the street, was causing the pump to over heat and loose pressure.
I will be running -8AN braided stainless line from -8AN external bypass to the 8AN fitting on fuel tank. This will help with keeping the pump cooler and the fuel to not foam/vapor lock. Plus keeping the psi much more consistent. Magnafuel weighs 5.28 lbs with external bypass: costs $299 Aeromotive weighs 3.90 lbs with NO external bypass: costs $187

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
The gremlins continue! After installing the pump/tank I took the Mach for a 15 min ride. Fuel psi was dead on untill I jumped it in 2nd. Then my fuel psi sky rocketed to 15psi and my A/F was pig rich. Got home shut it down, then started motor back up and psi was dead on 7 psi and A/F was back to normal. Has to be the fuel regulator..!! The good news was the Magnafuel pump was hardly warm.
Tore the regulator apart and looks like the diaphram is bad. It may be from the Sunoco race fuel which has alcohol in it. I did order a rebuild kit for the Aeromotive regulator. I have also been reading about other people having problems with these regulators. I'll probably order a Magnafuel regulator. They claim to be gas/alcohol compatible

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
Phil, I just ran through your post and didn't find my answer. Did you ever solve your brake issue? I'm trying to get things going and now that my motor is out I'm thinking about switching to manual brakes/steering.
What has been your driving experience so far, note, I drive trucks for a living so I'm used to manual power steering. Do you feel your safe on the streets is basically what I'm asking

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup
I'm really looking for a way to clean the engine compartment up some. Perhaps I'll look for an alternative that will get rid of some of the clutter. It has been along time since I've driven a vehicle w/o power steering and brakes.
What about your Aero brakes, I believe some posted up along time ago that they are a little soft for the street, do you have any concerns. Keep in mind my car gets VERY little use.
