Yes, we have a realtor.
Actually, quite a good one.
I do not believe they advertise up north, but they are on the web.
I will post a link to the house.

I refurbished the entire place, and it's a huge lot.
Heck, I even put the epoxy coating in the garage.
New appliances, yada yada.
We could use some luck for sure.
Thanks for the support folks!

Re: New Project "R" thread

Besides buying Project "R" (which I'd love to do, but that would get me shot) what can we do to help see it finished?

Re: New Project "R" thread

Installed fuel lines and brake lines from rear of car to the front.
Had to drop the IRS to do it, but it's done.
Tomorrow, install oil pump pickup (drop pan, etc.)
Might try to fire it when the intake gets back.
We'll see what happens.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Oil pump pickup is installed (with the motor, trans and headers IN THE CAR)
and the oil pan buttoned up.
Starter is installed.
Driveshaft installed.
Still need a fuel filter, oil filter, motor oil and some gas.
When the intake gets here, we'll see if it will run.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Car is cranking now.
So far everything works.
I did have a huge metallic / rotational "clunk" when it was cranking,
but I was able to isolate it.
I thought maybe the oil pickup was hitting the crankshaft, (5.4 with a GT pickup).
Had to adjust the clutch and now it's fine.
Picked up the fuel filter, oil and filter (Motorcraft blend), and some trans fluid.
Still trying to push forward.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Glad to see your still making progress. Once you get the intake, you'll have to post of vid of it running.

It started.

Installed the passenger side water outlet for the heater.
Both heater hoses are on.
That was fun. (not)
Decided to do something a little different.
Mind you, there is no intake manifold, injectors, etc. on the motor,
but the electrical is all done.
It has plugs in it and the COP's.
My theory was that if it had fuel, it would start, even with no intake.
It did.
Fired right up for 2 seconds.
Oil pressure came right up to mid gauge.
Put a few ounces of fuel into each intake port and it started.
LOUD. :HOPPY:

Fuel tank evap stuff is done, should put it up into the car tomorrow.
Then it's just waiting for the intake to return.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Fuel tank and fuel filter are in.
Pumps kick on when the key is turned to the run position.
Should get some fuel for it once I know the intake is on its way back.

That would be great! :HOPPY:

Trying to get it ready for when the intake gets back.
Got the oil dipstick tube installed (with the engine IN THE CAR w/ headers)
which was a lot of fun. (I have to buy Band-Aid stock)
Tomorrow, have to hook up the master cylinder to prop valve lines.
That ought to be a challenge, since the motor is so darned huge.
I can handle it though.
Then it's install the collectors and hook up the "H" pipe
so when it does fire up, it won't be too loud.

Still need some radiator hoses, P/S hose from pump to booster
and a few minor things.
Lots of stuff going on here.....................

Re: New Project "R" thread

Got the hard brake lines (except 1) installed at the ABS pump.
Front pads and brake hoses are on.
Master cylinder, brake lines to prop valve done.
One line to finish and I can put brake fluid into it and bleed it.
P/S cooler installed.
Still need a P/S hose (pump to booster).
Long day but I got stuff done.

Re: New Project "R" thread

Trying to get it ready so when it fires, it can be driven.
I will try and get the brake lines finished today
and maybe start to bleed them.
Edit:
Brake lines done.
Fluid in the system.
Time to bleed and look for leaks.

Brakes bled and all 100% leak free.
Great pedal with the Brembos up front.
Tomorrow, collectors and "H" pipe.
