Where did you get that Mustang hat? I like how it matches the car. They probably don't make a great one though.

I got one from Carolina Mustang and the quality is great. It's not a cheap made cap. You can find them on Ebay.

Of course they make a great one, it's RED. And for some other reason, there seems to be a blue one as well. I think there's a yellow one, but it's a little different (as well as the JCPenney yellow one they did a few years ago).

Re: Die -cast cars

Hey G, now you just need to personalize the car with the same wheels as your Machs. Check out this personalized Mach 1 and die-cast.

Re: Die -cast cars

Haha, that's neat. His right rear looks like it's on a corvair.

I agree but I don't have the skills to match the wheels to the real car. Besides the diecast AB's are worth a small fortune stock.

The hood prop is on the wrong side. You know I have had my car 3 years no and still have not bought the die cast mach I just can't see spending $60 on it.

It doesn't have a working hood prop - G has stuck something in there (I use a toothpick)

I used a finishing nail with a blue tint to it on mine and it's not on the wrong side. The TR has a nail I painted black which is also in the right place. The custom painted AZ that Jose posted has the "toothpick" in the wrong spot.

At least the autoart cars seem to be lowered.

At least on these things the 1/64 cost of gas is easier to stomach!!!

Here's a few new (or not so new) additions. One is not really a die-cast, but still pretty cool...

Finally got my FR500C!!!

I got my FR500C race car!!! Too bad it's 1/18 scale and not 1:1

I robbed these pics from another website. They dont do this car justice at all. I'll try to get some better pics from my camera.

Inaugurated in 2005 by the Grand American Road Racing Association, an extension of NASCAR, the Grand Am Cup series is a relatively low-cost showcase for production-based sports cars and touring sedans with few allowed modifications. Ford quickly lent its support, its Ford Racing Performance Parts division offering customers a turn-key race version of its new Mustang called the Mustang GT FR500-C. Priced at $125,000 and built in conjunction with Multimatic Motorsports, the FR500-C included a body stiffened by extensive seam welding, a 5.0-liter R50 ¡°cammer¡± V-8 mated to a reinforced Tremec T-56 six-speed transmission, full roll cage, Brembo brakes, and racing suspension kit. Mustang FR500-Cs took five victories in the 11-race inaugural season, handing Ford the 2005 manufacturer¡¯s championship over class rivals BMW, Porsche, Cadillac, Nissan, and Pontiac.

This #05 Ford Mustang FR500C was co-driven by David Empringham and Scott Maxwell. Empringham ended the season as Grand-Am Cup Series GS Champion with wins at Laguna Seca and Mosport. Maxwell co-drove the car in ten of eleven events. He earned a victory at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, a total of six podium finishes and did not finish outside the top ten to finish second to Empringham in the GS championship.

Features of this Item Include:

Diecast Body - Diecast Chassis - Opening Hood - Opening Trunk - Steerable Wheels - Engine Wiring - Engine Hoses & Belts - Detailed Gauges - Manual Transmission - Soft Window Net - Rollcage - Tampo Printed Graphics - Display Base

AutoArt cars are renowned for their attention to detail, and this car is no exception!

These are limited to only 500 in the Ford Racing packaging. If anybody else wants one, I can get them one for $80.00 plus shipping.
