Hey guys, I'm entered in the show, how do they judge? Is it peoples choice or a actual Judging?

It's a people's choice event. It's more about the unusual and rare cars you'll see and the gang you hangout with.

This will be my 10th Carlisle All-Ford Event. The first couple of times I busted my butt to have my car looking pristine. However when you have 50 to 75 identical cars, it's very hard to differentiate unless you've got lot's of Bling or a huge Turbo or Supercharger. Now I just knock off the big bugs and have added a radio antenna end cover and enjoy the good times with friends.

According to Wolfgangs website, one of the earliest Mustangs built, #004, will be unveiled at the Carlisle event. It was found some years ago and put into storage with abotu 60k miles on it. It is a black 'vert. and was used at the NY Worlds Fair. Might be with checking out for something you don't see everyday.

The cleaning and polishing on my cars has begun. The '66 will get the majority of the attention, but the Mach will get purty'd up too..

The interior is almost done. I figure since I took Wed and Thurs off that I'll do the outside then. Too much other stuff to do this weekend.

Got the '66 done today. Started at 7AM and finished about 3 pm...that's with cleaning the engine bay and interior a couple of days ago. I'm going to wash the Mach tonight and wax it tomorrow. Interior is already done on it....

At this point, I think I'm waterproof and shiny..

Too much wax, chrome polish and vinyl cleaner....

I'm going to hose mine off tomorrow in preparation for the 10 hour drive up. Hopefully at the show I’ll park next to someone using a lot of that spray detailer and get some overspray on my car. I’ve got a couple of old feed sacks from a farmer buddy of mine that I’ll use to wipe it down. I’m also going to leave the hood down. I think a snake crawled up there two years ago and I’ve been afraid to look underneath it since then.

What kind of tire dressing do you want? Glad to over spray everything for you.

The snake should be well done after a 10 HR. trip.

Filthy and a wreck . Wires hanging from everywhere . Plan on detailing it Fri.

You guys going to stay at the same Hotel as us? Not sure what time we'll leave but once the Thursday arrivals get there we'll decide, probably between 6 and 7 pm.

I'm guessing we'll be rolling in between 4-5 pm. We pick my daughter up from school around 1pm and then we're heading to the fairgrounds to pick up our registrations before coming to the hotel.
