Every time I've been there it's never been a problem. They're pretty laid back around that track.

You can always bring can beer to the track but don't drink and race. No bottles are allowed...

I don't think I can do the hotel thing tonight. I have a lot to get done tonight. Mainly test out the car.

They have in the past. Been a while since I've been out there though, so I'd call them to be sure.

Many pics will be taken. I'll be sure to throw them up in the General Registry Discussion part of the forum once I get a chance to use a computer. Probably take me a week.

Nice day out there today. Nothing broke, got to meet some folks, and had some fun, great day for sure. Only got two runs in. Ran a 11.5 @133 on my 14lb tune. Can't wait to get back out there and make a few high boost runs when its not so crowded. See you guys next time.

Good run man. I had some issues with my car today. It wasn't running good at all. Went home and did a compression test and my cranking compression has jumped up a lot. It was between 220psi and 240psi. So I think the cams jumped timing and that is why it is down on power. At least that is the only thing I can think of why the cranking compression would go up so much.

It was great seeing everyone again and some new faces. I still need to post a few pics. I've got an eye problem I need to take care of tomorrow so it may be a little while.

There are a couple of media threads in the Texas Section of IMBOC. Tons of vids.

Thanks again everyone!!!!!!!!

Re: 2013 Texas Bullitt / Mach 1 Shootout

As with most Bullitt events, something happens and it requires the Bullitt and Mach 1 band of brothers and sisters to leap into action to assist a fellower owner in need. Joel and his family, his dad with a mach 1 and Joel with a 01 Bullitt made the trek from New Mexico to Terrell Texas! Joel (who is only 17) lined up at the track and launched hard. Unfortunately he broken the spider gears in the rear end. It was a sight we are used to seeing. Several owners were helping with the car, others on the phone trying to locate parts and a shop all in an effort to help a friend in need.

I had my tranny fluid changed at a small shop in Terrell on Friday so I called and the guy said he could have it fixed on Monday. James Meredith fresh off his winning runs at the track, volunteered his trailer to get the ailing Bullitt to the shop. The Hoondog team then began collecting donations to help Joel out. During the awards GTG we presented Joel with around $425 to assist him in getting his Bullitt back on the road....

Another surprise was that the shop owner had a F-150 that donated the new differential and he was able to fix the car by Sunday morning which got Joel and family back on the road home earlier than expected.

Patti, Joel's Mom posted this on the Hoondog website.

"I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of kindness when Joel’s car broke down. It was an amazing weekend and the new friendships are true blessings!!!"
Patti Cannon, Las Cruces, NM

Is this a great family to be a part of or what!

Re: 2013 Texas Bullitt / Mach 1 Shootout

Was great meeting you Ash. That GT of yours looks amazing. Good thing I can't afford one or else the mach might be going bye bye.

I'm bummed I missed everything except the racing but was good meeting lots of new people. Hopefully next year I can bring my wife and both cars for the entire weekend.
