Will 335's fit on our car?

Will I be able to fit a 335/35/17 Goodyear Eagle GS-A on a 10.5" wheel and on my car?

Anyone do it and have pics?

I dont think thats a safe fit on a 10.5" rim. Think you need a 17x11 -17x12? Even with a good offset wheel your gonna have some tire sticking out of the fender unless you flare them out a bit.

Re: Will 335's fit on our car?

Its been so long since I sold wheels and tires it might actually require a 17x13" wheel for a safe fit. I think the 10.5 are best for 285/295, 11.5 for 315's and 12-13 for a 335. But dont quote me on that like I said its been a while.

Re: Will 335's fit on our car?

I am by no means an expert in this but I think it will work but not on a 10.5 rim. My 315s still have room and was even wondering myself if a 335 would fit, but I think you are going to need 11 in rim or bigger. Let us know if you try it.

Here's a quote from RioRed over at MW.
Seems he had no problem on a 10.5 rim. I'm not going to be driving hard on these anyway. Just cruisin around. I'll try it and see how it goes!!

Re: Will 335's fit on our car?

I ran Michelin Pilot Sport 335/30/18's no problem on my 01 Bullitt which is lowere 3/4" versus the Mach1's 1/2". It can be done. And I was running 18x10. There was a slight bulge, but I liked it.

OLD THREAD ALERT!!

Anyways, how did this work out?? Did the tires fit without any issues?? Also, how well do these Michelin Pilots hook up on the street and strip??

Re: Will 335's fit on our car?

Wow old thread. Anyways here's a pic of them on mine. These are GoodYear Eagle 335/35/17's. They don't hook for crap.

Well...I just ordered a pair of BF Drag radials in 315/35/17's so that'll be a greater inprovement in traction!

Thanks! Yeah people always mention how they look like steamrollers back there! Very intimidating to people coming up from behind on the highway.

huh? I think I'm missing something. Unless your talking about it looking larger because the real wheels are gigantor.

Basically you can just wave your hand over my head as that's where that went. haha

So can the 335/35's be mounted without removing the quadshock? Or any "pounding"?

Re: Will 335's fit on our car?

I just put on 315-30-18 mich pilot sports and could say the 335's would fit without removing the quad shock. but with 4.30's traction is still an issue I'd go with a drag radial if you live somewhere where it doesnt snow in april (like ohio) luckily I have 26x11.50x16 et streets for the track so i wont have a problem hooking there.

Re: Will 335's fit on our car?

Check out the latest Modified Mustangs magazine. There is a White MACh 1 pushing close to 700hp with 11s and some 335s if my memory serves me right. It's definitely badd!

I now have BF Goodrich Drag Radials. 315/35/17's. They seem to be just as wide as the 335's. haha

I did. It has Eibach drag launch springs. 1 1/4 coils cut in the front.

The back is so high because of the spring perch washers/spacers installed so I can run the 28" slicks. To much work to remove them.
