Battery ???
Fired the car up this am and went on my morning run ....breakfast ...then coffeee and came home. Left the car runnning the whole time. Got home ...ate breakfast and loaded up the car and went to start it and got NOTHING!....checked the voltage and it was at 12.5 . throw the jump box on it and just weird clicking. Load everything in the jeep and threw the mach on the tickle charge. Just got home and voltage was 13.2. Tried to fire it up and and then theft light was flashing fast. Hmmm.....checked the voltage and it was back at 12.5. I figure the battery is shot. Hopefully that why its acting funny.... what do you guys think ? Might need and alternator to....Im still on the stocker at 210k miles

Re: Battery ???
Had to change the alt on the girlfriends nitro, **** thing shorted to ground and dropped the battery down fast but since you are back to 12.5 not sure. Put a meter on the battery and see how far she drops while attempting to start, some can show the voltage but no *** behind it.

Re: Battery ???
Well i was thinking this battery wasnt that old....Sure enough found the receipt less than 2 years old. Took it to walmart and got a new battery no questions asked. Fired right up ...alternator putting out 14.5v. So all is good! im gonna check the alt again after shes good and warm.

Re: Battery ???
Don't overlook the OEM FORD Battery! They are very good batteries & mine usually last 7-8 years. I spend around $119 bucks for the Top of the line ones & they frequently go on sale! Excellent bang for my bucks!
