I was feeling pretty good till the cute little blond said, "WOW!!! You're my Grandfather's age". Made me want to take her over my knee and spank her good .... Ugh, you know, in a maternal way.

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?
The Mach 1 Cake at our Friday night BBQ was so nice and beautiful, nobody wanted to cut and eat it. It truly was fantastic and one of our member's son has a Cake business and made it. He made an example of Dave Wagner's 2003 Mach 1 and it was exact right down to the licence plate and unique hood paint.
It was made by Derek Smith And his business is M.A.D. Crafted Cakes. he can be reached at madcraftedcakes@yahoo.com and he does ship. He showed several of us his examples and it was unbelievable. Derek is truly an artist.

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?
Connie and I made it home yesterday afternoon after a slower than normal trip home, the Mach just doesn't seem to be as fast following a U-Haul truck and trailer..LOL!!!!
Hope everyone had a great day at the Showfield and everyone was a winner. Thanks to everyone for their help with my Tranny issues, and A special thanks to Jeff and Sue Draper for the ride to York to pick up the rental truck and trailer Right now I'm patiently waiting for Bill Hamilton to start the 2013 Carlilse thread.... We had a great time with our extended M1R family and we're already looking forward to next year Everyone have a safe trip home and will be chatting with you on the forums. Ray and Connie

Ray - Glad you made home okay. We just got home too. We ran into some good rain about 100 miles from home, then sun, then rain...weird weather. Hope everyone gets home safe!
It was a great time (as always!) to see everyone and a BIG THANKS to all for the support, Give-a-ways food, Cooks and the gifts! The Framed Michael Irvine print was awesome!!!. The Mach 1 Cake was really cool too. Here are SOME pics I uploaded to Facebook....You don't need an account. I set to PUBLIC viewable. Enjoy. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4921800&type=1

Glad you're home safe Ray, now get that tranny back in working order
We just walked in the door as well, hit rain about 20 mile from home but it only lasted for a couple of miles. Had a great time as usual. Great to see some old (take it any way you want ) friends and made some new ones.

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?
Everything Dave said above times two!!!
The Carlisle Curse got Ray's R Code this year but he took it better than anybody else I know, sorry Ray, I know you'll max your efforts and get her Code 1 and in service again soon and be back. This year was truly awesome, no make that epic! It's gets better every year and it's the PEOPLE that make it that way. Coming to Carlisle every year is like going to your high school or family reunion, only better because we like each other. There should be several thousand pictures posted in the next few days as we wind down and decompress the three-weekend. I encourage all there to post up your pictures in the Mach 1 Registry photo gallery so all can enjoy. Our West Coast and other distant places members (i.e family) need to see the fun we had and try and make it in the future. We know some had health, family, or work issues but please let them enjoy your pictures by sharing. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

We made it home safe and sound also. A nice trip to VA and fortunately no rain. We just want to thank everyone so much for their wonderful hospitality. Scott and I had the best time ever. We really enjoy seeing all of our M1R friends! So who is going to start the countdown until next year!

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?
What a blast!! We really had a great time meeting the members and being at Carlisle for the first time. Sure glad Ray and Connie made it home safe and sorry on your misfortune. A special congratulations to Scott & Renee Brubaker on a 3rd place in the modified class and to Robert Dike on 3rd place in the stock class. Not sure if the first & second places were from the club, but congrats to them too. I've never seen so many 03-04 Mach 1s at one time. Really cool!!
I would really like to thank Bill Hamilton for the warm welcome and the kind words about the cake my son, Derek made for Dave. Oh and Dave, cut and eat that cake!! Hope to make it next year and thanks again to everyone from the Mach 1 Registry. Dean |

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?
Melissa and I got home safely after what seemed like a longer than normal drive home. We ran into some crazy rain spots, where we couldn't even see the road. The wait at the border wasn't too bad. Can't wait to see everyone again next year, we had an awesome time as usual and met some awesome people.

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?
Made it home last night around 10PM but not proud to say I was pulled over by the NY State Police for doing 90 in a 65. I was trying to keep it around 75 but the route I took home had lots of long rolling hills and going down some of the long hills you would pick up more speed. Being light headed for not eating anything for almost 2 days I dazed off and looked at the speedo and was doing 90 hit the brake and looked in my mirror and in the distant could see a car with small lights on the top. Shortly after the lights came on and I was pulled over. The trooper was a Mustang fan and said he had a good friend who owns a Cobra so he understood how easy it is to speed. He didn't write up I was doing 90 or any speed in particular and just marked the ticket as Disobeyed Traffic Control Device. He said just plead Guilty and they will send me the small fine in the mail. He said since he wrote it up like this it wouldn't effect my insurance. Started feeling better Sunday Morning so I decided to stick around for the awards parade. Had a blast and it was nice to see some new members showing up. Thanks goes out to Smith for supplying us with the antenna flags. I though it was a great touch and don't know why we didn't make the coolest club. When I received my award I made sure I proudly displayed the flag. Glad to see the camera man took the photo with it showing. Sorry Ray about your Tranny and please keep us informed when you talk to your tranny guy.
Where's the guys left hand, you guessed it. |

Thanks Chris, I started feeling a little better Sunday Morning but wouldn't you know the minute I arrived home I started feeling sick again and today I'm still not right. Sure wish I knew what happened to make me sick. I know you weren't sick like me but you looked a little in the dumps Sunday Morning also. LOL
