Lower car
I would like to lower Mach about an inch I have a 2in gap now anyone have suggestions on springs that won't hurt launch too much? Has anyone just cut there stock springs? I had Steedas before years ago but they really hurt traction I went back to stock. Thx.

Re: Lower car
Cutting is the way to go. I had aftermarket springs and ditched them for cut stockers. I'd go with half a coil and see what you think.

Is that because the aftermarket ones were too stiff compared to the stock springs?

Re: Lower car
I cut the front and back stock springs.
I went from 27.3/4 in the front to 26.1/2 3/4 coil removed 1.1/4 drop. I went from 27.7/8 in the rear to 27.1/4 1/2 coil removed 5/8 drop. The front works just fine but the rear spring will not sit on the perch as it was intended to after you flat top half is removed. I have had it installed for a few months now and it works,no noise but knowing how its in there doesn't sit right with me. I purchased 2 rear H&R super sport springs from a fellow Mach owner and there on there way as we speak. I am hoping they lower it a tad more but I know in either case that will seat right. They can be purchased here rear only if you choose. http://www.maximummotorsports.com/HR...ngs-P1420.aspx I know this is a lot of info, I just wish someone would have spelled this out before I started. Re: Lower car
If anyone read my stats on the lowering of the rear they were off. I just came here to update and discovered my mistake, i used a previous sheet and got the numbers shifted. It is correct now.
I am here to update on the H R super sports. I sand blasted them and sprayed them black first. Not a big fan of red calipers/blue springs/ Orange shocks ect. They ride just fine and managed to lower the rear to 26 5/8. 26 1/2 on the driver side but im not sweatin 1/8th inch. My OCD can handle that.LOL Now atleast my rears fit on the upper perch correct and I got a bit more drop. I will try and post a before and after. Last edited by 03Shadow Grey; 02-25-2017 at 10:53 PM.
