Re: Mustang Week 07
Sorry not sure if this is the right place to post.
I am wondering the #s of M1R owners that attend this? I do know there will be a yellowmustangregistry contingency there, so I am curious which car I should drive down. My Zinc vert or my DSG Mach1. I am again planning my vacation around car events. (took last year off) Without me calling the Sheraton, could you let me know the $$ / night?

Re: Mustang Week 07
There were several M1R members there this year...I didn't get to speak to all of them, but I recognized several cars.
Yellow Mustang Registry did show up in force and was quite a sight. One of my friends came down with YMR and was disappointed because gatherings were scheduled at the same times or overlapped Mustang Week gatherings and she had to choose between them. My opinion on which car to bring...bring the one you will have the most fun in. Either way, make sure you get around and say hi to your fellow Mach 1 owners. |

Re: Mustang Week 07
Which one I have the most fun??
They both are fun to me! The vert is a topless cruiser & the Mach1 can be scary fast fun. I love them both. My 1st love is my Mach1. But being by the beach a vert would be nice too. I haven't been to Myrtle Beach since '78. I am SURE there are MANY changes there now. I bet the Hearts Villa is long gone too. (where the family used to stay every year) Ya you are right on choosing. I will decide by then.

Re: Mustang Week 07
We had our black Mach down this year & it got shot for the mags.
I would bring the vert. It would be so cool to go down the strip with the top down. |

Re: Mustang Week 07
roll the mach. there were some nice guys in the YMR but for the most part they were rude to everyone else. they guy who judged my car drove a yellow mach and he said he wouldnt associate w/ them...he just had some more choice words to say..but that was the basic point lol..there was a few of us that rode together a time or two and it was awesome to see a line of machs rumbling down the road. so go w/ the mach!!!

Being at a beach and a vert is nice. BUT, my 1st love is the Mach1. I have met some great people in North America because of my Mach1 and the Mach1 Registry. Rumblin' down the road in the Mach is NICE. I plan to have a Borla cat back installed in the spring. I did want to hit every US state in my Mach1 and I have not been in South Carolina yet... Drove it to Vegas, got some states out of the way... Oh ya and to YOUR Mach1 stable. An R-code and an S-code '69. Oh man, I wish I could buy one of those off you.

Last year was my first year at MustangWeek and I had a blast. Now if your Mach1 were yellow you would not have to make a choice... lol But at any rate the large amount of yellow at the show last year was mostly due to the fact that it was the YMR 5th anniversary and they chose to have activities along side the MustangWeek show and activities. I'm not sure if the YMR group outing will be as big this year or not. I did see a number of Mach1s around the area and did see a group of about 7 or 8 Machs cruising the strip one night. There were a alot of Mach1s at the show and the cruise night, all of them looking really awesome by the way. I stayed with the YMR and had about as much fun as I did at the 40th Anniversary bash in Nashville. No matter which car you take I think you are sure to have a great time. As of right now I'm planning on going.

Re: Mustang Week 07
LOL If its not a Cobra then most of the time its a Mach 1.
We have a wide variety of cars at MW you can see anything from 80s 4 banger to an all original Boss 429. Like I said this is our 6th year doing our event & with 3 magazine features tons of internet exposure we work hard to put on the Southeast best Mustang event. If you check out the latest Modified Mustangs you will see the best of show winner on the cover & this car will also be featured in our 07 logo. We stress a family environment at Mustang Week all of the staff are married with children & you will find them working hard under the tents. The best part is the Mach 1 Registy is a sponsor Our new site should be us this week so be on the look out for that. |

Re: Mustang Week 07
Absolutely! We're trying to find some places to stay already, we liked the area we were in last year....but would rather stay at a house than a condo. Any suggestions??

Re: Mustang Week 07
I'll have to see if you all would let Granny hang with you so I can cruise with you. LOL I had a lot of fun last year meeting people from all over with the Love of a Stang the way I am. I was there all week and plan on doing it this year too. Its a heck of a drive from Michigan by yourself, but it was worth every mile.
