10 Machs 1s Interstate Ford

Interstate Ford in Middletown Ohio currently has 10 Machs in and i believe they are almost all 04. 1 Black (pretty sure it is an 03), 3 Torch red, 2 azure blue, and 3 Zinc Yellows and 1 DSG. Anyone looking for a Mach 1? If there are more dealers like that then i sure hope not

p.s. I think that dealer has been through 16 Machs... my area is going to be covered with them.

What makes you think they are 04's? I had not heard they stopped producing 03's yet.

Mustang number 100001 was built May 20.
Number 100017 is the first Mach 1 I have found, and it is not built yet. However, 100018 was built May 16, 100019 was built May 22, and 100020 was built May 27.

Skoozo,
Is that numbers for the 03, or are you confirming that the 04 model has started preproduction?
Thanks
Ed

Sorry, I gave the wrong location of the dealer... It is in Miamisburg OH not Middletown. For directions go to their website
http://www.interstateford.com/. Darkhorse I know you arent from the area so if you are looking for something in particular I might be able to go check for ya.

Check for a markup at Interstate

Interstate Ford is located just off I-75 at the Miamisburg/West Carrolton exit. Go west and you can't miss it.

Before I bought mine at Eastgate Ford, I checked at Interstate Ford and they had a $3,000 markup over MSRP. I left immediately. That was a month ago, so maybe they've changed their policy.

I would call first to be safe.

The complete VINs that I have found are as follows:

1FAFP42R94F100017
1FAFP42R04F100018
1FAFP42R24F100019
1FAFP42R94F100020

To get these VINs, I switched the 10th digit to 4 (for 2004), and just went down the list from number 100001. The VIN decoder does display them as 2004 models.

I think they might be executive cars or something because they all have the same owner name, and the warranty start date is the same as the build date. It also tells me that they were not delivered to a dealership.

Does any one know about this:

If the job 1 is for aug 4 dont they usualy shut the plant down for a few weeks for vacations and also plant maintanance or to change tooling ???

My point is we are VERY VERY close to the end for the 03 production year and we should be weeks away from getting a total 03 production count

Skoozo,
What are the names on the pre production units? Any that showed up on the 03 Mach 1 ?

Mikestang,
Im with you on the numbers thing. Shouldnt take much to shoot some numbers out in about 3 weeks from now on total production and breakdown with colors, options.

summer shutdown

Your right about the summer down time. I work for Ford (visteon), the shutdown period is from 6/29/03 to 7/14/03. However since there is no tooling change on the 04 mustang, hard too say. I would like to see the #'s myself.

Thanks for the offer phatboysh. It's a bit far for me right now. I think I'm going to order an '04 but keep my eyes open in the meantime at the nearby dealers.
