Wrecked Machs Website
Don't know if it's a good idea or bad idea, but with all of the lost Machs lately, I was wondering about starting a website to keep track of crashed Machs. I don't mean to rub it in anyone's face that they crashed, just wondering how many Machs are left in the world. Any opinions?
The site could also have pictures of Machs that are in one piece and other cool stuff. Is it ok to post VIN numbers on the internet or would that be a no-no? Just an idea, don't flame! EDIT: I could also maybe host pictures for everyone on this forum that is active and owns a Mach 1

Re: Wrecked Machs Website
I have been thinking about this as well. An account should be made of those Lost in the line of duty.
I don't think vins would be an issue if the car is indeed totaled. And it would help the rest of us keep a record of the number of surviving Machs. The Registry could do this, after all it is 'The Registry.' And there are already provisions in place for posting the vins. Though it would be up to the members to post their vins in the "Destroyed" section of the Registry. How about it Moderators?

Re: Wrecked Machs Website
I think that is a great idea. That is something the hipomustang.com registry wished they had.....an account of wrecked/damaged cars. It not only helped how many were still available, but it helped with fraud and rebodied cars.
I think keeping count of 'non-in use' machs is a great idea, and may be very important info. in the future.

Why not just have a sticky here somewhere with all the details about each car.

Re: Wrecked Machs Website
I'd kinda like to start my own website again, I had one before and it was great for me because i can host my files and pictures and access them from any computer. My old one was on reviewing computer parts, so I think I could make a new one for reviewing Mach 1 parts, and let people host pictures and stuff. It probably wouldn't have a forum, I would just link to this forum. One of the features on the page would be wrecked machs.
So if you guys don't think there would be a problem with posting VINs, I guess I will go ahead and start up a website. Might be kinda sad though to see pictures of wrecked machs

Re: Wrecked Machs Website
It's a good idea.
I am looking for a reasonably priced wrecked Mach (complete) for a project.

Well I guess since nobody has any complaints I'll go ahead and start a website. Just need to think of a good name now...

Re: Wrecked Machs Website
The only problem with that is that the website won't be just for wrecked machs, that will just be the main feature. Finding out how many are wrecked, in service by the police, etc. It will also have a few articles, and pictures hosting for members of this site, etc.

Re: Wrecked Machs Website
That website hasn't been taken yet is what he's saying, so you cant go to a website there because there is none. Maybe I'll take it...
