Old site, New NAME -- thanks C Shelby

As of last night FFCobra.com is NO MORE.

To end the constant hassle from certain people the new name is FFCars.com. Actually when you consider the 33, GTM, Type 65 Coupe, Spider, and the Mark IV Roadster the name might be more fitting.

Thanks to spending tons of money for legal defense FFR has won the case against them and the owner of the forum above changed the name to end his issue. The other two friends caught up in this have lost their shops.

You won't see me in anything from the chicken farmer.

For those looking for that site, it's alive and well under the new banner.

Exactly. I think the reason is that Ford uses his name to get people from back in the day in newer mustangs. Makes sense.

At the same time, I feel that if more people knew how much of a greedy douchebag CS really is, they would feel differently.

Bring back SVT...

BTW, is Dave going to have to give CS royalties if we post his full name? Jw.

Ford needs to build their own special model Mustangs, the Shelby Mustang is a very nice car, but Ford did not need Shelby to do it.

Ol' Shel is apparently not worried about his reputation, just his name. Too bad he hasn't figured out that all those companies bearing his name will do more for his legacy than anything he could do alone. Once he dies it won't be long for the allure to wear off and I truly think his cars will actually lose value after he dies because he whored himself out so much. Too bad because some of those early cars really are works of art.

Agreed.
Shelby did himself in with his greed.

Exactly, just bring back SVT in full force to bring us some sweet Fords. My neighbor works at the Ford dealer here and constantly tries to make me envious...they have a Shelby, blah, blah. Like I would trade my Mach for it. Heck no. I don't need a greedy man's name on my car to make it worthwhile. I'd take a nice 5.0 and be done with it if I wanted to trade.

The man is ruining his own legend. He doesn't seem happy to have enthusiasts unless they pay him directly.

Let's face it, the average person on the street nowdays is ignorant about the details of most everything. We are enthusiasts, this stuff matters to us, so we know the details that the man on the street does not. Therefore we have our opinion of him based on his actions but that does not change the fact that his name IS very marketable. The sales of his vehicles proves this. Losing Shelby's name on those vehicles would probably hurt sales overall.

You're probably right but I would buy a SVT Cobra but nothing with the CS on it. Jake sold his GT500 as soon he heard about the latest crap from CS, he purchased a very nice FFR Mk3.1 with the money. I think he had money left over after the swap and he has a awesome car.
