Looks like it's our turn now...
T.S. Lee is turning into a real downer for the Labor Day holiday. Yesterday we got a small taste of what Lee was bring in for the weekend, but last night got more 'interesting' and this morning is even more of the same. The stupid thing has an eye sitting off the coast and scheduled to run right over my home town, all the while bringing heavier rains and powerful winds over the next two or three day.
Hoping not to lose power so I can at least watch the LSU game tonight and the NASCAR race Sunday.

Re: Looks like it's our turn now...
Not good, from what I have read an expected rain fall of 20 inches in some parts with a storm surge of 2-4 feet. Stay safe out there. Still waiting to see what Katia does since it doesn't look like it will "c" out into the ocean like many predicted.

Yes, stay safe, stock up on needed stuff before the power goes out if needed.
The Rainfall doesn't look too promising!

Possibly twice as much rain as we got up here...nasty. Be safe.

Re: Looks like it's our turn now...
I'm in Michigan and (trying) to fly back tomorrow to Pensacola, Florida. About three hours from New Orleans... We're getting huge rainfall there and I am concerned that my flight will be canceled or delayed...ugh.
Best of luck to those in it's path, but it doesn't look like it's going to be too too bad.

Re: Looks like it's our turn now...
Nascar race is in about an hour, not on Sunday. This is the best summer weather Washington state had had in the 8 years I've lived here. Three months of temps. in the 70's. No complaints by me.
*Whoops. Looks like it's a Sunday night race. I almost never watch the Nationwide race.

Re: Looks like it's our turn now...
So far I've still got power, but they're still saying tonight and tomorrow will be the worst of it. The rains so far remind me a lot of previous hurricanes.Wish I could have sent the wet stuff to Texas, I know they need it.
