Reliability after 100k
Hey guys! Looking to purchase a Mach 1 (again...was going to before but didn't pull the trigger...a SRT8 Jeep stole my heart). I was wondering what those of you think about the reliability of your Mach with over 100k miles. The one(s) I'm looking at tend to be at or over 100k. Looking to make one a DD for back and forth to work and the occasional weekend road trip. One in particular that I'm looking at has all the mods I would ever want (exhaust, intake, 4.10s, never blown) but again has, what I deem, high mileage. Just looking for comments or concerns I should have jumping into this. Obviously there are a lot of outside factors that could contribute to this and understandably that's a little bit of a hard question to answer. Thanks in advance.

Re: Reliability after 100k
these cars tend to be pretty reliable, the biggest concern is if its been abused. If you want some piece of mind get a compression test done, if its good - send it. Once you get it you could always do an oil analysis as well

Re: Reliability after 100k
I agree. Maintenance is key. Mine was a one owner and the guy really seemed like the type who would take care of his stuff. I also got a lot of service records from him on the car. It's got 130,000 miles on the clock. I changed the oil and sent a sample off to the lab and it came back really good. Seems like the gaskets and seals are holding up well. Car runs strong too...it'll go fender to fender with my buddy's full bolt-on 2008 GT.
