Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
Just a little bit warmer today and the flies came out and instantly went over to start their love affair with my Mach 1. They could hardly move, but had enough energy to make it to my yellow Mach 1. Never have I seen a color or car attract so many flying insects. Well, at least they have good taste.

We have the same Zinc Yellow and I no exactly what you mean. Every time we go to a car show, I use my duster to keep them off the car.

Re: Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
The darn things were slow, but stuck like glue. I had two on my hood and I couldn't even dislodge them while driving up to 40 mph. I guess it is just one of the things we have to put up with for having such good looking cars (with the "fly" seal of approval).

Yep... I remember that's one thing I didn't like about a 69 Charger I had painted yellow/black.... Looked sharp but constantly removing those little pesky flies!

You can't blame those little flies for being attracted to a yellow Mach. If I seen a gorgeous 40ft woman I would probably attach myself to her and wouldn't let go either.

Re: Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
I have a problem with those flying sh*t infested rat birds known as seagulls. Its like they are jealouse that the car is such a beautiful Orange Color and they are the same color as their nasty azz dried poop! Sh*t bags, flying sh*t bags! I wish it were legal to shoot em!!!!!! Every time I see a smashed one on the street, I smile a little evil grin!!! So I say smash em all!

I train the little buggers. I bought three dozen tiny wash mits and hand them out. If they don't do as they are told I smash them. They learn fast.

The flies around here are too dumb to train. Either that or they're too drunk to care.

Re: Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
Thats bc WE know blue is faster and those yellow flies have found something as slow as them.
Those dang black nats are the ones that give me a fit. Seems like as soon as I pull in the road they are all over the front. We come to Va Beach in May for the monster truck show. Those dang sea gulls get our honda van as well. i think they should open up a season to kill those dang things too. |

I knew zinc yellow stunk but I didn't know the flies knew it! That's why I got SY, which usually attracts bees.

Re: Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
I've got 4 x-flys on my front bumper after a cruz on Sat.
Those bugs have been around a lot longer than we have.......they know a good thing when they see it. If the Orange attracks sea gulls....I guess the bugs arn't so bad after all.

Re: Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
I though the detail spray was attracting them. They really love my car too.

Re: Flies/Yellow Mach 1. They're back.
I guess the flies are still better than huge globs of purple bird crap that occasionally would assault the white Z-28 that I had previously. Plus those small yellow bird droppings were a pain on a white car, but not so much with a yellow one.
