Re: 2003 clutch

To me, the stock clutch on the Mach is the best feeling clutch I've ever had on a stick car. Has the right amount of pressure and grabs at the perfect spot. I drove a co-workers 2004 Mysti-chrome Cobra with almost 500 horsepower and couldn't tell the difference between stock clutches. It only becomes annoying in gridlock traffic.

Re: 2003 clutch

When I was manual I went through a few clutches. Nothing was as all the round best as the oe Ford clutch. It had a much better ability to absorb the hit at the track while maintaining great street manners. After going to super high grip aftermarket clutches, I started to blow up differentials and tail shafts.

Re: 2003 clutch

The stock clutch was great for DD'ing. Easy to slip and not much heavier feeling than I remember my 92 GT being. They are WAY heavier than the 2015's LOL. I have an Exedy Mach 350 clutch in mine now and it's not heavier, but there's little slip to be had. It's basically on or off. That sucks for DD'ing or launching at the track. I'll be looking at twin disc clutches for the next one. I know it's overkill, but I want to be able to slip more.
