Re: catalytics

magnaflow weldin ? check out vrsexhaust.com for thier catted x pipe setup. its pretty nice. they use magnaflow cats. walker makes a good stainless cat too IMO. i used them on my 99 cobra when i put cats on the catless xpipe for noise reasons.... my ex was driving it.

Re: catalytics

I don't believe you'll high find a higher flowing (100cpi) converter for less:

ive been using a magnaflow version that relatively the same size as the link you've provided, but i doubt it flows as good as the mbs cat..im not to conserned with the flow, im looking to make my car slightly quieter, and perhaps calm down the exhaust smell...i did see that mbs has a spun converter, which it actually resembles the magnaflow i used to buy..do u think the quality is good though??

Re: catalytics

That's a 400 CPI converter which will eat some power.

i tried to find how much the magnaflow cat flows compared to the mbs but i couldnt..but to be honest, my car with magnaflow cats made more torque but the same HP then without cats..just a loss of 2-4 hp in the upper rpm with cats on..id sacrifice the power to have the tq and the deeper rumble..by any chance NA SVT, would u happen to know if both of those spun cats flow about the same?

Re: catalytics

They make 100, 200 and 400cpi cats. You'll have to call magnaflow and ask the CPI of their cats.
