I didn't read the whole thread, but I caught your post about it bogging. My old Expedition would do something similar. It would be fine, then randomly have no power. Like I would floor it and it would barely crawl. Turned out the MAF sensor was bad. The next time it acts up try unplugging the MAF. You'll get a code, but if the car straightens out the sensor might be going out.
