Re: Back in the day members
I haven’t been on here in a very long time myself. I bought a Competition Orange 5-sp. car new. Eventually I had a 324” big bore stroker built for it along with 4.30s, axles, etc meanwhile staying full weight. It went a best of 11.34 @ 126 naturally aspirated and could knock down 27 miles per gallon on the highway. I won my class at the Mach1 shoot out (on a red light) in Norwalk Ohio if anybody remembers that event. I still have the event t-shirt.
I sold the car and the new owner who wasn’t afraid to break it and he went in the 10.90s at close to sea level with the addition of a two step and some new ET Streets. The car has changed hands a couple of more times since then so I have lost track of it. I became friends with the gentleman I sold it to and we still text each other about car matters to this day.
These days I have a 2017 Lightning Blue Mustang GT which is pretty much stock save for tint, springs, and 20” wheels/tires.
I miss the days of reading the forums where you could actually get good information unlike today’s social media outlets.
