In terms of average HP produced between 4000 and 7000 RPM I think I'd have go with the 106400's as long as ramp acceleration rates were comparable between the two. But I can see where alot of people wouldnt consider the adversen drivability and loss of torque down low worth the extra HP.
The smaller cams had 224deg dur, only 10 degrees less duration than the 106400s and made just as much peak and more mid range. In a stock rotating assembly engine that is about all that is needed unless you wanna push the RPM limit. The 106400s are the "cams of the day" right now.
