Hi I need some help. I have an 03 mach1 with 120k. I needed a rear differential pinion seal. Had it in shop to be fixed and they came back and said they were unable to find the right tool? So within one week my rear end is making a metal clanging sound??? I have parked and afraid to drive to ford. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong? Gears? Pinion bearing? What do u guys think and can I nurse it to ford shop or tow u think. 6miles away. But I now I was leaking rear end fluid from pinion seal when I took in before this guy mangled and unable to fix.
