! I was a sonar tech on one of the old "boomers", SSBN 630 (John C. Calhoun) back in 1989-1993...(one of those live in Charleston SC/bus away to Kings Bay, Ga boats). I went to shore duty in Charleston for 3 years then went to school in Kings Bay and spent the remaining 3 years on SSBN 742 (USS Wyoming) out of Kings Bay. Left the Navy in 2000.
