Re: Radiator fan help..electrical aspect

I bought a new cap, yea to try and locate leak actually had guy pressurize system to watch where it was coming. Mechanic thinks I should just pull motor and do head gaskets and check freeze plug, but I disagree. If freeze plug leaking I can't use a pressure test to verify a head gasket leak, and the gas test was negative. I ask to do a compression check but dude said no need to......so I may go to another shop that does EXACTLY what I want and ask for compression test on drivers side. I have been doing alot of research and unless you do something realy, really stupid, HG on Term motors not known to be a problem blowing, only at 19 psi. My only other thought is head lifting at boost, but don't feel that. Show of hands on my plan : I am old school and pull motor from the top. I pull trans, check out freeze plug and replace, with bellhousing off can now see all the other lines with coolant and verify (heater line, coming off water pump, cooling mod, etc), change clutch and ride. I first would do a good Ford Iron block flush. I just can't wrap my head around pulling motor for POSSIBLE head gasket, it is what it is. As always, thanks Registry Gurus !!
