Thanks for the info 2k4mach. Is there a TSB or SSM for problems with auto trannies. The Mach's tranny shifts into 3 and 4 with converter locked are getting kind of bad. The best way to describe it is a shudder.

Personally, I think that the tranny is shifting too fast and the motor doesn't like it. Kind of like the clutch slipping and the tranny bucking if you shift from 1st to 4th on a manual when engine RPMs are too low. However, the issue wasn't present when the car was new and the symptom is getting worse with the passage of time. THe Mach is daily driven by the wife (not a hot rodding bone in her body) and only has 17,000 miles on it.
