Looks like I have to repeat myself.

My car made 710 rwhp and spun on the dyno at 3000 RPM in 4th gear with the 6-speed. When I took the car out to race, I went through clutches and rearend parts quite frequently. The 6-speed was too hard on parts, and reliability suffered.

To get the most reliability, enjoyment, and streetability out of the car at the strip and on the street, a 4R70W auto was the way to go at that power level.

It may be the dumbest thing you ever heard of, I can accept that. I am sure you have your own way of dealing with your high HP monster...Mr. 4.10s and exhaust.
