Stock fuel pump went out a few years ago and I replaced it with an SVT Focus pump (entire unit) which has been running quite well. When i switched to a 2003 cobra pump mine did the same thing, i pulled it out and nothing seemed off, stuck it back in and hasnt done it since, maybe its getting hung up on something ? its a mechanical issue so i dont think a tune would do anything.
