The tuner does not stay attached to the vehicle, after the tune is installed and rewrites the computers MAP the tuner is now unable to install another tune until you put the factory tune back in. I install the tune and then throw the tuner in the trunk until I need it again. It can be used to read codes but is not able to install into more then one vehicle at a time. If it didn't do that then I could buy the tuner and tune everyone in the neighborhoods car as well. It's worth the money try to get a used one. It was worth it to me.
